:The Miis in Smash 4 share a character slot despite having completely different movesets and not being able to switch between each other. It is an option to have them stacked and other pages don't make it obvious who gets stacked with who. Plus, most of the Echo Fighters are nearly identical competitively, so they're already basically glorified alts. ::I'm going to ask you to get consensus before doing this on the grounds that it is of questionable use and it spans many articles. <span style="font-family:Algerian;font-size:10pt;background:#000;border:outset #083 2px;padding:1px 3px">'''[[User:Serpent King|<span style="color:#083">Serpent</span>]]&nbsp;[[File:SKSig.png|12px|link=]]&nbsp;[[User talk:Serpent King|<span style="color:#ed0">King</span>]]'''</span> 22:24, July 22, 2022 (EDT)
:::It's a legitimate feature in the game. It's the difference between an echo and a standard clone as they even share the same number. It isn't very well documented on the wiki and doesn't really explain who goes over who. [[User:Diddy Kongstar|Diddy Kongstar]] ([[User talk:Diddy Kongstar#top|talk]]) 22:29, July 22, 2022 (EDT)
::::Even so, a change like this requires a consensus. I'd recommend you start a discussion on this in the talk page so we can have a clear-cut consensus on what to do. == Signature ==
To clarify on [[Special:Diff/1713722|this]], per [[SW:SIG]] you should avoid transcluding templates in your signature--substitution can sometimes be messy, which can lead to accidentally breaching the character limit as well as looking like nonsense in editing. Additionally, you shouldn't use mainspace images (in this case Diddy's head icon) in your signature. If you wish to use one, you will need to reupload it under another name (you'll probably get a warning about duplicate images, just hit the ignore button) and use that one. --[[User:CanvasK|CanvasK]] ([[User talk:CanvasK|talk]]) 22:38, July 30, 2022 (EDT)
:Slightly related, your name should also be readable on the default skin. The default blue on black doesn't quite work. I think you intended to make it red, should be an easy fix. To change the color of the text you'll need to put the span within the link, not around; <code><nowiki>[[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="blah blah">Diddy Kongstar</span>]]</nowiki></code> should work. --[[User:CanvasK|CanvasK]] ([[User talk:CanvasK|talk]]) 22:45, July 30, 2022 (EDT)
==Moving the "Tier placement and history"==
While it was a minor thing, I do have to wonder why you chose to move those sections up for 64, Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4 instead of moving the section (or what exists at the moment) down for Ultimate. Not only was it less work to do, but the wiki has done the similar format for quite some time, and it was just Ultimate that didn't match because no one bothered to change it. [[User:Cookies and Creme|<span style="font-family: Georgia;color: black;">Cookies</span>]][[File:CnC Signature.png|20px]][[User talk:Cookies and Creme|<span style="font-family: Georgia; color: black;">Creme</span>]] 12:53, January 2, 2023 (EST)
:It looked weird to have the notable players listed before the characters' competitive history. [[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="font-size:10pt;background:#28282B;border:solid FF0000 5px;border-radius: 4px;padding:1px 3px;color:#FF0000">Diddy Kongstar</span>]] 19:21, January 2, 2023 (EST)
A remider of this, we can just change Ultimate's to match the others instead, and as Cookies said the way it's currently done is how the wiki has done it for years, and the reason Ultimate's is still inconsistent is likely an oversight rather than a new format.
Also, if the reverse is going to be done instead, changes like these also need a [[SW:CONSENSUS|consensus]] before implemented. In general, major changes like a new format across many pages shouldn't be made without a proper agreement. :Where would the consensus for this even be made? [[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="font-size:10pt;background:#28282B;border:solid FF0000 5px;border-radius: 4px;padding:1px 3px;color:#FF0000">Diddy Kongstar</span>]] 18:04, March 10, 2023 (EST)
::We have a [[Forum:General proposals|general proposal board]] that you could have used. You could have also joined the [[SW:DISC|Discord server]] and discuss it with people there. In any case, you gotta stop making these unilateral changes that you have a habit of doing without discussion or before the discussion reaches a consensus. <span style="font-family:Edwardian Script ITC; font-size:12pt">[[User:Omega Tyrant|<span style="color:forestgreen">Omega</span>]] [[User talk:Omega Tyrant|<span style="color:forestgreen">Tyrant</span>]]</span> [[File: TyranitarMS.png ]] 19:29, March 12, 2023 (EDT)

It is preferred that images from games are uploaded at native resolution. The images you've uploaded recently are not possible on official hardware. I'd say it is best to hold off on uploading all of them unless you can get them at a proper resolution, and ideally in PNG format. --[[User:CanvasK|CanvasK]] ([[User talk:CanvasK|talk]]) 19:58, January 20, 2023 (EST)
:I'll just upload the Wii U ones for now as getting good images in the native resolution for the 3DS ones will be difficult. ::Those are still higher than possible resolution and JPG. Give me some time and I can get proper captures of everything. --[[User:CanvasK|CanvasK]] ([[User talk:CanvasK|talk]]) 20:25, January 20, 2023 (EST)
== Attack names ==
Would it be possible for you to compile a list of where you got the various attack names from? I think it'd be useful to have for clarity and future reference. --[[User:CanvasK|CanvasK]] ([[User talk:CanvasK|talk]]) 03:03, October 14, 2023 (EDT)
:The 64 attack names are from Smabura-Ken and the Melee ones are from the official strategy guide. [[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="font-size:10pt;background:#28282B;border:solid FF0000 5px;border-radius: 4px;padding:1px 3px;color:#FF0000">Diddy Kongstar</span>]] 22:43, October 15, 2023 (EDT)
== Zelda Melee Move Names ==
Hi, I saw you added moves names to Zelda's Melee page a while back, do you actually own the guide itself? I ask because most of the move names I'm able to find referring to her appearance in that game are different from what's listed (e.g. more in-line with the names used in the later games), and some have unique names in Melee that are totally different from what's in the article currently. [[User:BubbleRevolution|BubbleRevolution]] ([[User talk:BubbleRevolution|talk]]) 12:51, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
:I used the names listed in the Official Player's Guide. [[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="font-size:10pt;background:#28282B;border:solid FF0000 5px;border-radius: 4px;padding:1px 3px;color:#FF0000">Diddy Kongstar</span>]] 22:42, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
::Do you know which guide it specifically is? And do you physically own it/have scans? The move names I'm seeing are cited from a strategy guide as well, it's entirely possible there were multiple guides with some naming differences between them. [[User:BubbleRevolution|BubbleRevolution]] ([[User talk:BubbleRevolution|talk]]) 13:31, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
:::I saw it on the Internet Archives. It is the official guide from Nintendo Power. [[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="font-size:10pt;background:#28282B;border:solid FF0000 5px;border-radius: 4px;padding:1px 3px;color:#FF0000">Diddy Kongstar</span>]] 13:45, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
::::Okay. I imagine you used Google Translate for the Japanese names, since the Nintendo Power guide is in English? That would explain the differences in naming. In the future, please avoid doing so, as the official Japanese names may be different from the English ones, and it's best not to list those until you have a definitive source for the Japanese names.
