Disputed majors
The following tournaments may be recognized as majors by some credible sources, however their status as majors are disputed by the wiki. Namely, these are events tiered A-tier/Category 4 by the PGR, OrionRank (Eclipse-2022), and LumiRank, but are disputed due to issues with the respective rankings' TTS, retroactive retiering efforts that use the LumiRank algorithm instead, or lacking something that would have made it consistent with other tournaments that the wiki recognizes as a major, such as the number of top 20 and 50 players in attendance. Likewise, events identified as majors by other credible sources, such as Liquipedia, close votes during our major reclassification efforts, or any credible retro rankings such as EasyFreezie's re-tiering efforts may also appear on the list. This section should not be confused with tournaments that have been incorrectly referred to as majors with little credibility.
