I've decided to remove the draft template from this page, since it's basically just a hypothetical at this point (as there doesn't seem to be much of a consensus as to whether to merge the articles or not).

Magikoopas made their debut in ''[[Super Mario World]]'', where they teleport around and shoot magical blasts with their wand. The blasts look like a sparkly conglomeration of geometrical shapes and damage [[Mario]] on contact. They keep this behavior in later games such as ''{{iw|supermariowiki|Super Mario Galaxy}}'' and ''{{iw|supermariowiki|Super Mario 3D World}}''. Common Magikoopas, unlike their leader [[Kamek]], rarely ride brooms.

Kamek is a [[Magikoopa]] in [[Bowser]]'s army. He debuted in ''{{s|mariowiki|Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island}}'' as {{s|mariowiki|Baby Bowser}}'s caretaker and the game's main antagonist: throughout the game, as well as in later {{uv|Yoshi}} games, he assists bosses with his magic, usually by making them gigantic.

Kamek later went on to appear in the ''{{iw|mariowiki|New Super Mario Bros.|series}}'' series starting with ''{{s|mariowiki|New Super Mario Bros. Wii}}'': once again he appears at the beginning of the boss battles to assist the boss, though unlike the ''Yoshi'' series in most cases his magic alters the arena instead of the boss itself.

Kamek appears as a stage element on the [[Mushroom Kingdom U]] stage. When he appears, he casts a spell which switches the stage between its possible forms. He doesn't interact directly with the fighters.

General Magikoopas appear as relatively tough enemies. They fly around on their brooms and move by teleporting around and swooping forwards. They attack by shooting either a single magical projectile or a trio of them (telegraphed by the Magikoopa doing two rotations) which lower a random stat on contact.

Kamek's trophy is part of the ''Yoshi's Island'' [[Trophy Box]]. The 3DS trophy of a Magikoopa seems to conflate the Magikoopa species with the individual [[Kamek]]; this is likely due to the fact that they share the same Japanese name. However, Kamek also appears in the ''Yoshi'' games while common Magikoopas are restricted to ''Mario'' games.

Kamek and Kammy Koopa, two different Magikoopas, appear as [[List of spirits (Super Mario series)#Magikoopa|spirits]] for the game's Spirit mode. Additionally, Kamek reprises his role in the [[Mushroom Kingdom U]] stage.

Kamek in particular appears as an Advanced-class [[primary spirit]]. In [[Adventure Mode: World of Light]], Kamek is presumably one of the countless spirits captured by [[Galeem]] during his takeover of the universe. Kamek's spirit is located in the [[Molten Fortress]] sub-dungeon of [[The Light Realm]].

Kamek uses an army of {{SSBU|Inkling}} puppet fighters and is and is fought on the [[Mushroom Kingdom U]] stage's Slide Tower layout. Each of the puppet fighters start off with a [[Star Rod]], referencing Kamek's magic wand. During the battle, an army of Inklings appear after defeating the first Inkling is defeated, referencing Kamek's ability to teleport and duplicate himself.
