A list of changes I'd like to see for the next ''Smash Bros.'' game. Please tell me what you think of it on the talk page.

==General==
*Keep all characters, and declone the semi-clones.
*Declone all Final Smashes.
*Bring the Self Destruct to how it was in Melee (if you die when not knocked back, it is still an SD).
*Tether recoveries should not be able to be used until 2.5 seconds after grabbing the ledge, and no edge grab limit.
*Characters with tether grabs should be able to use their respective grabs as tether recoveries. They should cover a shorter distance but not cause helplessness.
*Remove random tripping, but keep tripping in attacks (banana peels, etc.)
*Characters should not sink downwards in water unless in hitstun. (To prevent stalling using moves like Mr. GW's down aerial)
*Characters should lose all invincibility after letting go of a ledge.
*Allow stages from all three previous games to return (like the ''Mario Kart'' series).
*CPUs should never self-destruct when using a move on stage (Level 1 Yoshi using Egg Roll, Landmaster, etc.)
*CPUs should fully utilize all parts of their characters' recovery.
*Star/Screen KOs should grant the point for KOing as soon as the animation begins.
*Remove all infinite/0-death chain grabs/grab releases.
*All characters should have the exact same grab release animations (Wario, Ness/Lucas).
*Remove all stage sections that hinder certain characters' recovery (Frigate Orpheon, Green Hill Zone, etc.)
*When hit in their fallen animation, characters should immediately return to a standing-hit animation. (Removes the jab lock and laser lock)
*Remove Faux Super Armor.
*The initiator of a grab-based Sacrificial KO move should win when both players are at one stock.
*Characters should receive 6% instead of 3% when hit out of a throw.
*Rapidly tapping the attack button should not continue a rapid jab.
*Tapping downwards on the smash stick on Classic Controller should not initiate a fast fall down aerial.
*Perform sliding down smashes and DACDS.
*The first hits of jab combos should always have set knockback to lead into the last hit.
*Trip getup attacks should have invincibility frames.
*The area on the Control Stick for inputting Special Moves should be equal in all four directions.
*All rapid-fire attacks (neutral attacks, Flamethrower, Angel Ring, etc.) should be easily SDIable and techable.
*Remove the freshness bonus. It really doesn't do anything.
*Flower attacks should do grass damage.
*All characters should be able to gain distance from glide tossing in every direction.
*Frozen characters should not immediately unfreeze when hit by a flame attack.
*Flowers should be unable to be shaken off.
*Have distinct palette swaps for team battles.
*Pressing grab right after ducking should result in a grab, not a neutral attack.
*Forward tilts should push shielding characters back farther to make them safer on shield.
*Characters with slower attacks should have much more KO power.
*Being launched into a wall at less than 2500 mph should end all knockback and allow the player to input any action (removes wall infinites).
*Characters should crawl faster and be able to do a turn around dtilt.
*Throw speed should not be affected by weight.
==Single player mode==
*All characters should have unique target smash levels with no items.
*Remove explosive items from Multi-Man Mode.
*Remove all alternative storylines in the next Adventure Mode.
*Sandbag should be grabable in Home Run Contest.
*In Home Run Contest, a barrier protecting the bag from flying to the left should be created.
*Characters and stages in Classic Mode should have no set universe/theme. Make the order random, and randomly choose the characters and stages.
*Get rid of Masterpieces. They have too little time to do anything worthwhile on each game.
*Allow up to three ''different'' CPU opponents in Training.
*In the next Adventure Mode, put in more enemies from other series, not limited to just ''Mario''.
*Give more trophies and stickers to some of the smaller series and universes (Game & Watch, WarioWare, Kid Icarus, Ice Climber, etc.).
*Allow trophies of Adventure enemies to have data, weaknesses/resistances, damage, HP, etc.
==Multiplayer mode==
*Allow stocked stamina battles (once a character runs out of HP, they should disappear and respawn on the platform).
*Improve Spectator Mode on Wifi. Make it load faster, and maybe allow the option for a player to save a spectated match.
*Allow people to have friend requests and block players on With Anyone, in certain time increments. (1 hour, 24 hours, infinite, etc.)
*Allow replays over three minutes long to be saved.
*Rotation should be able to be used for less than four controllers.
*Camera should have more angling options.
*Add more to Stage Builder (walk-off edges, more stage hazards, custom backgrounds, customizable size, etc.)
*Allow custom music.
*In Coin Battle, characters should never step over Coins and not collect them.
*Allow 1v1s, timed stock matches, and no-item matches on Wi-Fi.
*On Wi-Fi. If someone fails to press Continue after the fifteen seconds of result screen has passed, that person is automatically dropped out (combats Away From Controllers).

==Characters==
===Bowser===
*Give him normal grab release frames.
*Add super armor to more of his attacks.
*Utilt should have more horizontal range and less ending lag.
*Dair should be faster with less hits and less ending lag.
*Fthrow should have increased knockback.
*Dthrow should have some combo ability.
*Bowser should always win when using Bowsercide.
*Side special should be a combination of Flying Slam/Koopa Klaw: pressing up while using Koopa Klaw initiates Flying Slam.
*Bring back Fortress-hogging from Melee.
*Whirling Fortress should be either more or less based on momentum when used in air.
*Giga Bowser should deal more damage.
*Remove the Undead glitch.

===Captain Falcon===
*His attacks should have more vertical range.
*Up smash should have more horizontal range.
*Knee should have only one hitbox at any time, and the sweetspot should last a frame longer. It should also have super armor.
*Dair meteor smash hitbox should be easier to land.
*Falcon Punch should have some super armor.
*Grounded Raptor Boost should have less base knockback and not cause tripping if it misses.
*Raptor Boost should not cause helplessness in midair if it connects.
*Items should not disappear and attacks and knockback should not be stopped after using Blue Falcon.
===Charizard===
*Remove type effectiveness.
*Neutral attack should have more knockback.
*Ftilt should have less ending lag.
*First hit of usmash should lead into the second hit better.
*Improve nair.
*Glide should be able to travel horizontally without sinking, and more vertically.
*All hitboxes of fair should cause flinching.
*Dthrow should have more knockback and damage.
*A new down special move.
*Final Smash: Fire Blast (Triple Finish with only fire)
===Diddy Kong===
*Change nair to a tail attack.
*Peanut Popgun should produce a powerful explosion and a supercharged flaming peanut when fully charged. 5% damage to Diddy.
*Rocketbarrel Boost should be angle-able when uncharged.
*Remove the barrel jump glitch when using Rocketbarrel Boost.
*Banana Peels should last longer.
===Donkey Kong===
*Improve grab range to at least Charizard's grab range.
*Give him normal grab release frames,
*Add super armor to some of his stronger moves.
*Dash attack should have more knockback scaling.
*DK should always win when using Kongocide.
*Giant Punch should not cause helplessness in midair.
*Spinning Kong should gain more vertical distance.
*Change Final Smash.
===Falco===
*Fair should have less ending lag and more knockback on the last hit.
*Remove sourspots of uair and fsmash or make them stronger.
*Bthrow's blaster shots should deal more horizontal knockback.
*Remove the laser lock.
*Reflector should have slightly higher base knockback.

===Fox===
*First four hits of fair should have set knockback and better lead into the last hit.
*Dair should have a more powerful meteor smash at the last hit.
*Blaster should have less ending lag and deal more damage.
*Fox Illusion should do more damage and have more knockback.
*Fire Fox should have more knockback.
===Ganondorf===
*Increase speed of some moves.
*Give more powerful moves super armor.
*Give him a powerful throw.
*Replace utilt with a fast attack.
*Warlock Punch should have some super armor.
*Increase knockback of Dark Dive and Wizard's Foot.
===Ice Climbers===
*Make the CPU climber stay with Popo better.
*Improve range.
*Remove the Ice Climbers slow motion glitch.
*Give slightly more damage to each attack.
*Increase knockback of smashes.
*Add 10-20 frames of invincibility to the opponent after every throw.
*Bring back the melee hit with Ice Shot.
*Ice Shot should freeze people at lower percents for a longer time.
*The Ice Climbers should be able to climb their own Iceberg.
===Ike===
*Give him one or two additional fast attacks.
*Nair should have less lag.
*Some of his more powerful moves should have super armor.
*Quick Draw should not cause helplessness in midair but can only be used once before getting hit.
===Ivysaur===
*Remove type effectiveness.
*Dsmash should have more knockback.
*Bair should do more damage.
*Uair should not launch Ivysaur downward.
*Razor Leaf should do more damage and knockback, fire faster, and have a controllable trajectory.
*Vine Whip should give a "hop" upward like Pikmin Chain.
*Grab the ledge with its zair, this should not cause helplessness but reach a shorter distance.
*A new down special move.
*Final Smash: Leaf Storm (leaves blow everywhere, causing damage and knockback)
===Jigglypuff===
*Second hit of jab should have more knockback.
*Change usmash to a move with more range.
*Dair should have better range, a weak meteor smash at the end, and the first hits should have set knockback.
*Rollout should have less ending lag if it hits (remove the spinning animation).
*Sing should be cancel-able after a certain time, and should make opponents sleep longer and have more range.
*Rest should give slight horizontal knockback, but so that it still Star KOs when used on the center of stages, and heal 10% if used to completion.
===King Dedede===
*Ftilt should be transcendent.
*Decrease ending lag of dsmash.
*Down throw should knock all opponents straight down, allowing tech-chases.
*Give him an explosive hitbox when eating explosive items.
*Dedede should always win when using Dededecide.
*Only neutral attack and dash attack should throw Waddle Dees.
*Waddle Dee Throw should have less ending lag and have a better chance of throwing a Waddle Doo.
*Waddle Dees should be unable to be eaten and do the jumping attack more.
*Capsule should not be pulled by Waddle Dee Throw if items are off.
*Jet Hammer should have a longer lasting hitbox, less startup lag when uncharged, and give a horizontal boost when used in midair.

===Kirby===
*Change dtilt to his sliding attack from many Kirby games.
*Sourspotted usmash should have more knockback.
*Nair should have less ending lag.
*First hit of fair should have set knockback.
*Bair should have a longer hitbox duration.
*Dthrow should have less ending lag.
*Give an explosive hitbox when eating explosive items.
*Kirby should always win when using Kirbycide.
*Kirby's copy abilities should have the exact same properties as the original (Mr. Game & Watch, Falco, etc.).
*When knocked back a certain launch speed, Kirby should have a 10-20% chance of losing his copy ability.
*Final Cutter should have less startup lag.
*The projectile of Final Cutter should not have set knockback.
*When Kirby emerges from Stone on the ground, he should not end up in the air.
*Cook Kirby should do more damage and knockback.
===Link===
*Rolls should have decreased startup lag.
*Shield should continue to block even during idle poses.
*Slightly increase horizontal air speed, midair jumping height, and Spin Attack distance.
*Bring back the rapid sword attack from ''Melee'' as his neutral attack.
*Remove the sourspot of the second hit of fsmash.
*First hits of usmash and fair should lead into each other better.
*Later frames of dair should be a meteor smash.
*Arrows should do more damage and kill fully charged at around 250%.
*Link's falling speed should be reset when he pulls a Bomb.
*Triforce Slash should ignore platforms (removing the Triforce Slash glitch).
===Lucario===
*Increase base knockback of some of its moves.
*It should do slightly more damage when at minimum, but slightly less when at maximum.
*Fsmash should be a reliable KO move under 150% when uncharged at 0%.
*Nair should have less ending lag.
*Speed up Double Team, and the counterattack should be unblockable.
===Lucas===
*Remove grab release problems.
*Fsmash should reflect projectiles for a longer duration, at a greater speed, and more damage.
*First hits of nair and dair should have set knockback and lead into each other better.
*Bair should be faster.
*Dthrow should have more knockback, or give him a different KO throw (fthrow, uthrow)
*Air dodge should not be cancellable into zair.
*Zair should do damage in midair.
*PK Freeze should not cause helplessness in midair.
*When used in midair, PK Fire should continue if Lucas lands during it.
===Luigi===
*Increase traction slightly.
*Increase air speed/dashing speed.
*The first hits of dash attack should have set knockback.
*Back hitbox of dsmash should have more horizontal knockback.
*Dair should be easier to meteor smash with.
*Fireballs should have transcendent priority, and maybe give them green flame effects when they hit opponents.
*Fireballs should have more range and travel faster.
*Green Missile should have less ending lag, and remove the "stuck in wall" animation.
*Luigi Cyclone should be less based on momentum when used in the air.

===Mario===
*Fireballs should have transcendent priority.
*Improve tilts, in particular dtilt.
*Sourspotted fair, bair, and/or dair should have KO power.
*Cape should provide some horizontal distance in midair.
*F.L.U.D.D. should have less charging time and push opponents farther, and deal damage.
*Mario Finale should be harder to escape from at the sides.
===Marth===
*Change some of his throws so they're more unique.
*Give a visual effect to show the charge level of Shield Breaker.
*Downwards hit of Dancing Blade should always meteor smash, even when tipped.
*Make dair's sweetspot hitbox larger, and have less landing lag.
===Meta Knight===
*Remove grab release problems.
*Remove transcendent priority in all attacks except for fsmash and Dimensional Cape.
*Change the neutral attack so it doesn't cover all sides.
*First hits of usmash should lead into each other better.
*Change bair.
*Uair should have more ending lag.
*Dair should have more diagonal knockback.
*Decrease knockback scaling of all his aerials, glide attack, and dsmash.
*Mach Tornado should have hitlag.
*Remove the Drill Rush slow motion glitch.
*Shuttle Loop should go more vertical distance but not end in a glide.
*Remove the Infinite Dimensional Cape.
*Galaxia Darkness should do more damage.
===Mr. Game & Watch===
*Reduce ending lag of some moves.
*More of hitboxes should be disjointed but have the same range.
*Increase damage of throws, and decrease the base knockback.
*9 Judgement hammer should have the same size hitbox as all other numbers.
*First three hits of nair should have set knockback.
===Ness===
*Give dtilt more disjointed range and make it meteor smash airborne characters.
*Remove grab release problems.
*Fsmash should have increased knockback, and reflect projectiles for a longer duration, at a faster speed, and with more damage.
*PK Flash should not cause helplessness in midair.
*Ness should continue to use PK Fire if he lands in the middle of it.
*PK Fire should be harder to DI out of.
*PK Thunder should either have transcendent priority or pass through opponents without disappearing.
===Olimar===
*Decrease the damage of all Pikmin-based attacks by 33%.
*Pikmin attacks should have less range.
*Blue Pikmin should deliver less knockback but have less lag.
*Decrease the knockback of usmash and dsmash.
*Pikmin Throw should have more ending lag.
*Pikmin should immediately come back to him once End of Day ends.

===Peach===
*Give some of her KO moves more favorable hitboxes.
*Fsmash should always be the tennis racket, but have different angles based on where it connects (vertical up close, horizontal with less knockback farther away).
*First three hits of dsmash should have set knockback and lead into each other.
*Toad should do water damage, or his spores should have a different animation.
*Toad should have less startup lag.
*Peach Bomber should have more knockback scaling.
*Increase the chance of pulling a stitch faced turnip.
*Peach Blossom should do more damage.
*Make the Beam Sword proper length when pulled using Vegetable.
*Items should not be pulled by Vegetable if items are off.
===Pikachu===
*Make it lower its tail when crawling backward.
*Fsmash should have increased power at a longer distance.
*Back aerial should have less hits but do the same amount of damage.
*Up aerial should either have less ending lag or do more damage.
*Fthrow should have less base knockback.
*Dthrow should have more knockback scaling (remove the zero-death on Fox).
*When Pikachu gets struck by its own Thunder, it should have either less range or less knockback.
===Pit===
*Give him better range on his attacks with smaller range such as uair and utilt.
*Increase knockback of fsmash and dair.
*One of his tilts should be a KO move.
*Buff nair.
*Decrease knockback of arrows.
*Wings of Icarus should half its time every time Pit is hit out of it in midair, capping to around Super Jump Punch's distance.
*Mirror Shield should always block melee attacks, even when Pit and the attacker are facing the same direction.
*Centurions should have transcendent priority and ignore platforms.
===Pokémon Trainer===
*Get rid of Pokémon Trainer and have three individual Pokémon without stamina.
===R.O.B.===
*Remove the Kirby-R.O.B. up throw glitch.
*Both hits of utilt should have the same hitbox size.
*Remove the dtilt wall infinite.
*Increase range of fsmash, and make fsmash break a Metal Box.
*Nair should have more disjointed range.
*Bair should not cause R.O.B. to move.
*First hits of uair should have set knockback.
*Vertical boost from dair should come after the hitbox.
*Super Robo Beam should travel at the same speed as a normal Robo Beam.
*Arm Rotor should have less startup and ending lag, and only the last hit should have knockback. It should reflect projectiles for a longer duration.
*Robo Burner should always provide a small vertical boost when uncharged once R.O.B. is hit out of an attack, about equal to a Super Jump Punch.
*Gyro should last longer.
*R.O.B. should not be invincible during Diffusion Beam.
===Samus===
*Increase fastfalling speed.
*Usmash and/or fair should have KO power, and the hits should lead into each other better.
*Increase knockback of Charge Shot and Super Missile.
*Bair should not have a sweetspot.
*Zero Laser should only transform to ZSS if the taunt button is held.
===Sheik===
*Allow Sheik to be selected when using a random character.
*Transformation to Zelda should be instantaneous.
*Fsmash hits should link into each other better.
*Change bair and make it a finisher.
*Needles should produce more knockback.
*Chain should have less starting and ending lag, and have increased damage and knockback.
*Remove the Chain jacket glitch.
*Vanish should give a small momentum boost upon finishing.
===Snake===
*Make him lighter (about the same weight as Captain Falcon).
*Make it so that not all moves can KO.
*Decrease knockback of neutral attack and dtilt.
*Hits of dair should lead into each other better.
*Pressing shield should not cause other players to drop Grenades.
*Remove the grab release glitch.
*Snake should be unable to use any special moves after using Cypher.
*C4 should be placed on the exact same location of every character (maybe on top of their head).
*Cardboard Box should produce vertical knockback and more base knockback.
===Sonic===
*Increase damage of all attacks by 33%.
*Usmash should draw people towards Sonic.
*Uair or fair should be a KO move.
*Bair should have less startup lag.
*Homing Attack should gain no initial vertical distance and aim directly at players.
*Remove the stalling of Homing Attack.
*His Spring should be a weak meteor smash.
*Remove the grab release glitch.
*Change down special to something else.
===Squirtle===
*Remove type effectiveness.
*Buff ftilt.
*Dtilt should have more vertical reach.
*Usmash should have increased knockback.
*Buff down smash.
*A new down special move.
*Final Smash: (Waves come crashing in from both sides of the screen)
===Toon Link===
*Decrease startup lag of rolls.
*Shield should continue to block even during idle poses.
*Dash attack should have knockback.
*Change usmash so it has a different animation than utilt.
*Wind hitbox of dair should not affect teammates if Friendly Fire is off.
*Arrows should do more damage and KO around 250% fully charged.
*Pulling a bomb in midair should reset Toon Link's falling speed.
*Triforce Slash should ignore platforms (remove Triforce Slash glitch).
===Wario===
*Remove grab release problems.
*Fair should have more range.
*Dthrow should have increased base knockback/knockback scaling.
*Wario should always win when using Wariocide.
*Remove the Pitfall glitch with Wario Bike.
*Wario Waft should never be able to self destruct, and give him super armor when fully charged. The fart should also have more knockback when fully charged and Wario should be able to move horizontally during it.
*Remove the Undead glitch.
===Wolf===
*His attacks should in general have less hitlag.
*Give him 25 frames for meteor canceling instead of 60.
*Dtilt should have more knockback scaling.
*Blaster should fire a little later if the melee hitbox connects, but have the same ending lag.
*All hitboxes of nair should cause flinching, and nair should have no landing lag.
*Increase fastfalling speed.
===Yoshi===
*Give him a normal shield.
*Change meteor cancel frames from 25 to 15.
*Increase KO power of his smashes.
*First three hits of Bair should have set knockback.
*Yoshi should be able to grab the ledge using zair and Egg Lay.
*Yoshi should be able to eat items using Egg Lay. Small items produce an egg that breaks open as one piece of food, big items produce three pieces of food, and explosive items produce an egg that explodes randomly after at least one second producing high knockback.
*Being in an egg should not cause half damage.
*Egg Roll should have faster horizontal air speed.
*Egg Throw should gain more vertical distance in midair, and be less based on momentum.
*Yoshi should be able to grab the ledge while using Yoshi Bomb.
===Zelda===
*Increase fastfalling speed.
*Change neutral attack.
*Ftilt should have less startup and ending lag, and always deliver diagonal knockback.
*Utilt should be faster.
*Aerials should be easier to hit with.
*Zelda should be able to move horizontally when using Nayru's Love.
*Din's Fire should not cause helplessness when used in midair.
*Teleport should be easier to control and have a larger ledge sweetspot, and make her move earlier after reappearing.
*Transformation to Sheik should be instantaneous.
===Zero Suit Samus===
*Remove power suit pieces if she starts the match.
*Decrease short hop height.
*Allow Zero Suit Samus to be selected on the character selection screen.
*Allow Zero Suit Samus to be selected when using a random character.
*Power Suit Samus should only change back to Samus if the taunt button is held.
*Transform to Samus if the taunt buttons are rapidly pressed (like Samus to ZSS).
*Dsmash should have less damage and stun for a shorter amount of time.
*Nair should have stale-move negation.
*Remove the sourspot of uair.
*First hit of fair should have set knockback.
*Change smashes.
*Paralyzer projectiles should travel faster, have less startup lag, and stun longer.
*Plasma Whip should have a smaller sweetspot, and the sourspot should not push the opponent into the sweetspot.
*Paralyzer and Plasma Whip should not have the same stale move negation slot.
==Items==
*All characters should have the same battering animations (no extra swings, swipes with sword, etc.)
*Characters should be able to activate an Assist Trophy whenever they want by pressing Attack on the ground.
*Beam Sword should be the exact same length for all characters.
*Gooey Bombs should be able to stick onto a passing character when placed on the ground.
*Characters under effects of a Timer should not have increased hitstun, freeze frames, or knockback.
*Hammers/Golden Hammers should be droppable while tumbling if the grab button is pressed.
*Remove/change properties of Blast Box and Hothead so they don't favor flame, explosive, and electric attacks.
*Freezies should not create a damaging explosion when they break.
*Make Pitfall and Motion-Sensor Bomb last longer.
*Smoke Ball should have a random pattern of colors.
*Bunny Hood should make Yoshi, Ness, and Lucas gain height.
*Superspicy Curry should not cause flinching.
*Team Healers should pass through non-teammates, and Popo should be unable to team heal Nana.
*Superspicy Curry should not cause flinching.
*Unira should have less damage and disjointed range.
===Fan===
*'''Get rid of the fan.''' It completely ruins casual play.

===Assist Trophies===
*Remove the Hammer effect for Tingle.
*Jill should last for a shorter amount of time.
*Make Lakitu unkillable.
*Metroid should not cause flinching.
*Remove Nintendog, or make it do something else.
===Pokéball Pokémon===
*Remove Togepi's darkness effect.
*Make Manaphy more common.
*Change/remove either Entei or Ho-Oh.
*Change Goldeen to Magikarp.
*Bellossom should always do damage when a character walks into her sleep.
*Celebi, Jirachi, and Mew should always fly towards the top-center of the stage once they appear while dropping their items.
*Improve Groudon.
