Upstate Summit was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate invitational held in Rochester, New York, on November 6th, 2021. Twelve players were initially invited, with four players being voted in; all entrants were from the upstate New York area. The four players were voted in through online Twitter polls and interactions, which led many people outside of the upstate New York scene, including several top players and people who weren't connected to the Smash community at all, to influence the vote.
