The '''Trophy Stand''' ({{ja|スマッシュプレート|Sumasshu Purēto}}, ''Smash Plate'') is an [[item]] that is used in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''{{'}}s [[Subspace Emissary]] mode. Upon being thrown, the user will go through a spinning windup before releasing the Trophy Stand in the chosen direction. If it doesn't hit an enemy, it can be picked up again, but there is a chance it might despawn. If it hits an enemy, it will either deal moderately high damage, or capture the enemy as a trophy. If the damage from the trophy stand is enough to KO the enemy, it is a guaranteed capture. Otherwise, the odds of a successful capture varies depending on the enemy, and how much HP they have remaining.

Trophy Stands appear more commonly on higher difficulties, which serves to reward a player for choosing them as well as making strong and rare trophies of boss enemies harder to obtain. Certain [[sticker]]s can be used to increase the drop rate. Also, a Trophy Stand may appear after defeating three enemies at once.
The '''Trophy Stand''' is an item that is used in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[Subspace Emissary]] mode. The trophy stand allows the characters to turn enemies that appear in the Subspace Emissary mode into collectible trophies. While the Trophy Stand will work immediately on small or normal-sized enemies such as [[Primid]]s, larger enemies and bosses must be significantly weakened first in order for it to work. Once the enemy's damage bar is depleted enough, the character can throw the trophy stand at the enemy to turn it into a trophy. This style of weakening and capturing is somewhat reminiscent of catching [[List of Pokémon|Pokémon]] in the [[Pokémon (universe)|Pokémon series]] of games.If one really wants to collect Subspace Enemy trophys, a good strategy is putting a sticker on a favorite character's base that has an effect: Trophy Stand Drops. There are a few stickers that have Trophy Stand Drop effects. While carrying a Trophy Stand, all A attacks are used to throw the Trophy Stand up,left,right and down. While alone, use B attacks to weaken the enemy you wish to turn into a trophy. If playing Co-op, have a player on your side, let the other player weaken the enemy by using weak A attacks, then throw the Trophy Stand towards the direction which the enemy is. Depending on the difficulty on the level, Trophy Stands appear more than the previous difficulty. Also, sometimes when defeating three enemies at once, a Trophy Stand will appear. (Mostly Primids you need to kill are in three.) It's important to note that a character spins around before they throw the Trophy Stand, thus causing a delay in which one can be attacked, interrupting the throw.

==List of Trophy Stand exclusive trophies==
==Trivia==
All Trophy Stand-exclusive trophies are from enemies fought in The Subspace Emissary, although not all enemies can be captured with a Trophy Stand (see Trivia).
*A Trophy Stand cannot turn a [[Jyk]] into a trophy. The Jyk will just absorb the attack, making the Jyk trophy avaible only through beating Boss Battles with 20 characters.

*If you have Big Boss sticker on your base and the difficulty on Intense, you can get a bunch of Trophy Stands.

==Trophy==
Humorously, there exists a Trophy Stand trophy, which depicts a trophy stand on top of a trophy stand. It is amongst the usual randomly-collectable trophies and can be unlocked through the [[Coin Launcher]].

==Trivia==
==External Links==
*A Trophy Stand cannot turn a [[Jyk]] into a trophy, since Jyks are invincible. Similarly, the [[Porky Statue]] and [[Mizzo]] trophies cannot be obtained this way, because Mizzo are only in the display room of the Halberd and the Porky Statue is undamagable. The trophies for these opponents are instead unlocked through alternative means.
