It was the biggest tournament ever held in Strasbourg, and one of France's most stacked tournaments, with many of Europe's best players in attendance. This tournament is part of the {{Trn|European Smash 4 Pro Circuit}}, and was one of the {{Trn|Midwest Mayhem 11}} qualifying tournaments; as {{Sm|Glutonny}} had already qualified for both spots, {{Sm|Griffith}} was given both invitations.
