'''Super Lion 4''' was a European national ''Melee'' and ''Brawl'' tournament in Salle Didier Latimier, Parc du Vellein, Villefontaine, France 38090 from August 7-9, 2009. Official events were ''Melee'' singles and doubles, ''Brawl'' singles and doubles, and a ''Melee'' All Star Crew battle. It was organized by porc, Salepâte and Slhoka, and helped by Achoral.

Despite the lack of interest for ''Brawl'', it was the first European sized ''Smash Bros.'' tournament to feature both ''Brawl'' and ''Melee'' events. The hosts made this effort to try to reunite both communities. While the tournament was a success in both games, the ''Brawl'' events lasted too long, and a lot of time that was originally planned for ''Melee'' events was used for ''Brawl'' events.

Because of this, as most of the TOs were more focused on ''Melee'', they decided to not make any ''Brawl'' events in the other Super Lion tournaments that followed this one. Their efforts for the ''Brawl'' events were still recognized by the French ''Brawl'' community.
