The eight players who qualified through the {{Trn|SWT: Japan Ultimate Online Qualifier}} and the eight players who qualified through the {{Trn|SWT: East Asia South Ultimate Online Qualifier}} were invited to this tournament. The top 5 players qualified for the {{Trn|Smash World Tour 2021 Championships}}. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, all players from Southeast Asia were unable to attend the tournament and were replaced by competitors from Japan who attended the Online Qualifier.
