The first installment of the SEAT series broke the previous attendance record set by @M. SEAT was the first Australian tournament to make a genuine effort to deviate from traditional [[Tournament#Double Elimination Bracket|double elimination]] tournaments. It incorporated a unique manual randomization of several qualifying rounds, with the highest scorers advancing to a final. {{Sm|Kupo}} easily won the tournament, unchallenged by runner up {{Sm|CATS}}.
