A pot bonus of $5,000 was donated to the singles bracket by the [[tournament organizer]]s. A special five-person {{SSBM|Captain Falcon}}-only [[round robin]] side-event featuring {{Sm|n0ne}}, {{Sm|Wizzrobe}}, {{Sm|S2J}}, {{Sm|Gahtzu}}, and an auction winner, {{Sm|$tik}},  was also held. The prize for this side-event was $1,000 in addition to additional funding from the auction.
