'''Nickel City Smash''', or '''NCS''', refers to tournaments run by tournament organizer and player {{Sm|Chirka}}. The tournament series is held in Sudbury, Ontario and began by hosting Melee and Project M before venturing out into other Smash games. While the frequency of events has slowed, tournaments for ''[[Ultimate]]'', ''[[Melee]]'' and recently ''[[Guilty Gear: Strive]]'' are held bi-annually. In the past, Nickel City Smash ran  ''[[Project M]]'', and ''[[Project+]]'' brackets at their events with a healthy turnout. Nickel City Smash is the largest regional tournament in Northern Ontario and typically features players from Sudbury's surrounding areas like North Bay, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie, Orillia and Barrie. Throughout it's history, NCS has been hosted at various venues: 1-3 held at {{Sm|Chirka}}'s apartment, 4-10 at Let's Scrabbalatte, 11-18 at the Radisson Hotel, and 19-present at the Clarion Hotel.
