The '''Ludwig Smash Invitational Last Chance Qualifier''' was a ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'' qualifier tournament for {{Trn|Ludwig Smash Invitational}} on October 21st, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted by [[commentator]] and [[YouTube]] streamer {{Sm|Ludwig}}. The Last Chance Qualifiers were double-elimination brackets capped at 64 players for each game, with all sets best of 5. The Top 8 players of each game qualified for the Ludwig Smash Invitational main singles event, bringing the total to 32 players for each game. This continues the running joke that Shroomed gets powered up when there's a qualifying spot on the line. (For example, {{Trn|GameTyrant Expo 2017}} to qualify for {{Trn|Smash Summit 5}} and {{Trn|GENESIS 7}} to qualify for {{Trn|Smash Summit 9}}.)
*Third-party GameCube controller adapters caused numerous issues during the Last Chance Qualifier, as opposed to first-party adapters, which are more reliable. They caused controller disconnects (for example, causing {{Sm|The6Master}} to lose a winning game in the last stocks of Game 2 vs. {{Sm|VoiD}}) and broke {{Sm|Lima}}'s controller in his qualifying set vs. {{Sm|Ouch!?}}, forcing him to borrow {{Sm|ven}}'s controller to narrowly win in a reverse 3-0 fashion, last game, last stocks.
*Both ''Melee'' and ''Ultimate'' singles featured a Canadian [[Ice Climbers]] player qualifying for the main event ({{Sm|Lunar Dusk}} and {{Sm|Big D}}, respectively).
