'''Heats 1''' was a ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'' regional tournament held in Saitama, [[Kantō]], on August 11th, 2024.

==Tournament summary==
The tournament's first stage, was a round robin group stage with the top 3  placing players in each group progressing to winner's top 48 and the highest placing player in each group receiving a bye.

Notable upsets during the group stage included, {{Sm|Ko}} defeating 7th seed {{Sm|Futari no Kiwami Ah~!}}, {{Sm|shu|p=Kanto}} beating 11th seed {{Sm|Tarakotori}}, and {{Sm|irohasu|p=Kanto}} over the 12th seed, {{Sm|Mao}}.

Perhaps, the most notable runs of the event would come from 15th seed, and eventual tournament winner {{Sm|Kurofune}}. After being upset by {{Sm|TK}} in pools, Kurofune would finish second in their group. They would then get to winners finals, after notably upsetting  1st seed {{Sm|Yamanaction}}, where they would play 3rd seed {{Sm|Leaf}}. Despite defeating Leaf in winner's finals, Leaf would manage to reset the bracket before eventually succumbing to Kurofune in grand finals. 

The majority of the players in top 8 also featured deep runs with upsets over higher seeded players. {{Sm|kazuhito}} (20th seed) placed 3rd after taking sets over {{Sm|Aygoski}} (13th seed) and {{Sm|Marcos|p=Kanto}} (4th seed). Ko (26th seed) placed 4th after upsetting Futari no Kiwami Ah~!, Tarakotori ,and {{Sm|AyaLin}} (17th seed). {{Sm|Wanipachi}} (22nd seed) and irohasu (53rd seed) placed 5th after defeating Yamanaction and {{Sm|tameigo}} (6th seed) and {{Sm|takera}} (2nd seed),  {{Sm|NaNo}} (8th seed) and Mao respectively. Finally AyaLin would place 7th after upsetting takera and Marcos.
