'''Get On My Level 2016''' was the 3rd edition of the [[Get On My Level]] series, a Super Smash Bros tournament held annually in Canada. It took place May 20th to 22nd, 2016, at the Queen Elizabeth Building, Toronto. The event hosted tournaments for all four main Smash games, with 987 unique entrants registred, making it [[List of largest Smash tournaments#Super Smash Bros. 4|the largest Canadian Smash tournament to date]] until {{Trn|Get On My Level 2019}} surpassed it. It was also part of a larger event called '''Good Game Con''', which included several tournaments for other eSports, as well as '''Toryuken 5''' running other fighting games.

After a disappointing 7th place finish in his previous visit to Toronto at [[Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo]], {{Sm|Leffen}} scored a resounding victory in ''Melee'' singles and became the first player to win a supermajor outside of the Five Gods since {{Sm|Azen}} at {{Trn|Viva La Smashtaclysm}} in 2007, taking successive wins over {{Sm|Mew2King}}, {{Sm|Armada}}, {{Sm|Hungrybox}}, and {{Sm|Mango}}. {{Sm|n0ne}} also won against Mew2King in a huge upset, becoming the first {{SSBM|Captain Falcon}} player to defeat his {{SSBM|Sheik}} in a full set in over a decade. However, he narrowly lost to {{Sm|Lucky}} in a last game, last stock situation, earning a 7th place finish for himself.

{{Sm|ZeRo}} made his return to ''Smash 4'' tournament play early after {{Sm|Zinoto}} dropped out of GOML 2016 due to personal reasons, and defeated {{Sm|San}}, {{Sm|Mr. R}}, {{Sm|Leo}}, {{Sm|Nairo}}, and {{Sm|Larry Lurr}} after being sent to losers bracket early in winners quarters by Mew2King, who became the first smasher in ''Smash 4'' history to defeat ZeRo with a 3-0 victory. {{Sm|Ally}} took his first ever major win for ''Smash 4'' singles, not only taking his first games off of ZeRo in grand finals, but defeating him for the first time 3-2, with each game being won consecutively. He also won ''Smash 4'' doubles with {{Sm|ANTi}} and ''Brawl'' singles over {{Sm|V115}} and ANTi. Leo entered GOML 2016 shortly after registration ended due to widespread community approval, and played against ZeRo in losers quarters in a highly anticipated set. He ended up losing to ZeRo 2-3, netting a 5th place finish.

At his very first offline tournament, Smash 64 player {{Sm|Derek}}, after losing in pools, defeated well known players such as {{Sm|Shears}}, {{Sm|Fireblaster}}, {{Sm|Nintendude}}, and {{Sm|BarkSanchez}} to place 5th after losing to {{Sm|The Z}} 2-3.
