'''Evolution 2007''', officially '''EVO World 2007''' or simply known as '''EVO 2007''', was the 6th edition of the [[EVO|Evolution Championship Series]], a fighting game tournament held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada,  which took place from August 24th-26th, 2007, at the {{s|wikipedia|Green Valley Ranch}}. It was the final tournament of the {{Trn|EVO 2007 circuit}}, which consisted of {{Trn|EVO South}}, {{Trn|EVO North}}, {{Trn|EVO West}}, and {{Trn|EVO East}}. ==Tournament summary==
Some notable upsets occurred during this tournament. {{Sm|Mango}} who at the time was a {{SSBM|Jigglypuff}} [[main]] on the come up beat {{Sm|Mew2King}} in pools, then considered to be the best player in the world. Mew2King then lost to {{Sm|Chillin}} in the losers top 8 qualifier to finish at an underwhelming 9th place. Mango continued his run by upsetting {{Sm|Ken}} in winners-semis. He then lost to {{Sm|HugS}} in winners finals and Ken in a losers finals rematch to finish at 3rd place. Ken, after getting upset by Mango, made a losers run beating {{Sm|ChuDat}}, {{Sm|PC Chris}}, Mango, and HugS in 2 sets of grand finals to win the tournament. After the tournament many analysts wrote off Mango's win against Mew2King and 3rd place finish as a fluke until his win at {{Trn|Pound 3}}.
