DELTA 9 is known for two incredible runs. First, the second seed {{Sm|Raru}} saw an incredible losers run after losing in his third set to {{Sm|Ocha}} 0-3 for an upset factor 10, the biggest of the tournament. He made an 11-set losers run while scoring a lot of good wins : #6 seed {{Sm|Glutonny}} 3-0, #17 seed {{Sm|Yamanaction}} 3-2, #5 seed {{Sm|TamaPDaifuku}} 3-1 and #4 seed {{Sm|Shuton}} 3-1 before losing to #1 seed {{Sm|Miya|p=Honshu}} to place 2nd, matching his seed despite the early upset.
The biggest upset of the tournament was on the #2 seed {{Sm|Raru}}, who lost early in pools to {{Sm|Ocha}} 0-3 (upset factor 10). Despite this, he managed to make a 11-set losers run to before losing to {{Sm|Miya|p=Honshu}} to place 2nd and match his seed. On the other hand, this event saw a cinderella run from #47 seed {{Sm|Ryopei}}, who defeated several notable Japanese players before losing to Miya in Winner's Finals 3-0 and Raru in Loser's Finals 2-3 to place 3rd, significantly outplacing his seed. Notably, with this tournament being Miya's 24th ''Ultimate'' major win, he became tied with MkLeo for the most ''Ultimate'' major wins, after MkLeo had held the title untied since 2019.
