Notices
The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

==Captured Fighters==
Since Kirby escaped from Galeem's attack, he is the only fighter the player has available from the start. The other 73 base roster fighters (with {{SSBU|Pokémon Trainer}} counting as one) have been captured and must be awakened for the player to unlock. Any [[Downloadable content (SSBU)#Fighters|downloaded fighters]] are simply unlocked after the player has awakened a total of 10 fighters. 42 of the 73 captured fighters are unlocked in The Light Realm. 10 of them reside in sub-worlds. Aside from {{SSBU|Bowser}}, all captured fighters must be unlocked through a fighter battle. {{SSBU|Mario}} is always awakened first, with the second awakening being a choice between {{SSBU|Sheik}}, {{SSBU|Marth}}, or {{SSBU|Villager}}. After the second awakening, {{SSBU|Master Hand}} appears and forms barriers over the two fighters the player didn't unlock, preventing them from being unlocked until the player beats one of the [[boss]]es or finds an alternate route back. The lists of fighters are organized roughly by order of appearance.
