* This event references the fact that King Dedede and Kirby have frequently fought in arenas similar in appearance to Boxing Ring in the {{uv|Kirby}} games. However, the roles are flipped: in the ''Kirby'' games, Kirby must defeat King Dedede, while the goal here is the other way around.
