The editor making this revert stated that accessibility efforts are not worthwhile on SmashWiki, and directed further discussion to this talk page. I can understand accessibility being a low priority, but I'm not sure how that justifies the additional step of a revert to keep the wiki less accessible. :My opinion: Put it back if you want, as long as it doesn't really change anything for normal users (which in this specific case I don't think it does). That said it is indeed true that we don't really care all that much about accessibility. While this is mostly because it's never been brought up before, the fact is we're a wiki for a visually-intense fast-paced high-skill video game series, and if you need help to read text on a webpage I find it hard to believe you could play such games enjoyably. ::Anecdotal, but the gamer I know who uses a screen reader has dyslexia. She can read web pages without VoiceOver, but it's slow and frustrating for her. (I think this is why she likes games with little text like Smash.) Also, Google is secretive about how it uses alt text, but says it [https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/114016?hl=en affects image searches] (in some secret way).
