::This isn't exactly within the realm of this wiki, but there are tons of Mario sites that debate on things such as Yoshi biology, such as where the wings come from and how strong their legs have to be to flutter. One of the common threads is the egg thing, which in my opinion can be explained as "both genders lay eggs but only the females can lay eggs with babies in them". Besides, Yoshis are shown being able to instantly produce eggs from anything (as well as out of nowhere) - that's not normal egg behaviour in the first place (which would be reproduction), so we can't assume any of our normal preconceptions (that is, laying eggs = female) should apply. We can keep the male pronoun usage, as it acts in a masculine manner, but the infobox is supposed to have accurate information, and saying that it's male isn't exactly accurate. -:When I first suggested to place certain alts in the infobox, it was initially meant only for those that took up half of the lt selection. For example, half of Link’s costumes are BoTW, while the other half are his classic clothes. Half of Isabelle’s are her winter outfit, half are her summer outfit. Half of Corrin is female, half of Corrin is male. Etcetera. However, those against my proposal stated some valid points that it would be too difficult to decide what’s major. So, I extended it to those that had fighter spirits in Ultimate. The “does it take up half and only half” part is especially invalid now that Joker’s Student alt is only two of his costumes despite having different artwork, so that can’t be the only qualifier.
