Notices
The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

2017 Recommended Ruleset[edit]

This is what the last few edits were going on about. I'm not sure how we should handle it; it has notable people behind it and is supposedly confirmed for some notable events, but the comments on the Smashboards post are overwhelmingly negative. It can't be assumed that this will be universally accepted by TOs. Zyrac sig.png Zyrac(talkcontribs) 14:28, 28 January 2017 (EST)

Agreed. Seeing way too much pushback for this to be just taken as "well that's the rule now". Miles (talk) 15:42, 28 January 2017 (EST)
That's not the only proof so far. I seen that on twitter and many players (including some top players such as Abadango) are complaining about Duck Hunt & want that stage to be banned. Luigi540 (talk) 16:05, 28 January 2017 (EST)

Amiibo Tournament Ruleset[edit]

I have some questions to ask about the Amiibo tournament ruleset and the Amiibo Dojo website (which seems to be the most respected source of Amiibo training information). First of all, should we use the ruleset provided on their website for online tournaments? Do in-person tournaments generally use the same ruleset as online ones? If not, should both be included? Second, with the different setup of online Amiibo tournaments, should we have a new section/page for them? Finally, are there any other major Amiibo sites that I don't know of?
