This could be possible with other characters, but I've only seen it done with Snake, and just by what I believe causes the slide, Snake probably has the best Snakedash >_> NeonCrusader 13:02, February 24, 2008 (EST)

Couple of comments: A) Snakedashing is a stupid name. B) This is really "Dash attack canceling". It can be performed with uptilts in addition to upsmashes. C) Several other characters can do this, most notably Falco, Wario, Diddy Kong, and Zero Suit Samus.
The only reason that Snake is recognized for this is that his has the longest "slide" to it when he upsmashes.
Because of all of this, this page should probably be changed to Dash Attack Canceling. I'm going to add preliminary information, but I don't exactly know how to change an entire page's name. Wildfire393 20:11, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm not entirely sure that this is just smashdashing... it doesn't seem like it should work just after he used his dash attack, and he goes way farther than any Smashdash i've done (even Sonic's on slippery floor). - Runer5h
Merge it. At the time of making this page, I thought that only Snake could use it; turns out that most if not all can use it, and Wario has a Dash Attack Cancel that goes just about the same length as Snake's. Wolf's is very long as well. 68.45.201.243 19:59, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
If you use Wiimote+Nunchuk, it's really easy to pull off, although you can't charge the smash. But just activate the "Shake Smash"-option and while dashing shake the Wiimote to do an up-smash. This is much easier to do and the sliding is quite long. There isn't a canceled dash-attack, so I don't know if it has the exact same length, but I'm pretty sure. But even if it hasn't, it's quite useful. Is this another technique? I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure I'm not the first one to discover this technique. If this page isn't going to be merged, shouldn't it's name be changed to something else, such as Smash-boosting. Y462 (talk) 20:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
:I call it "Smashdashing", it just rolls off of the tongue! Smashdashing...Smashdashing...69.12.204.63 02:44, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Merge with DAC.....
Here is the easiest way of thinking this: Would you make a page for Luigi's wavedash because its the longest...or its the most useful...even if it can be used by others? User:KoRoBeNiKi
