Capcom Japan handed the rights for Street Fighter over to Capcom USA a while back when the IP was still dormant so they could license it out overseas and maybe squeeze a profit out of it, so they technically have control over what happens with the property, but Capcom USA ultimately answers to Capcom Japan so it doesn't mean much. There's enough legal distinction that they need a separate copyright, but it's all Capcom anyway.[[User:NuFace|NuFace]] ([[User talk:NuFace|talk]]) 16:54, May 2, 2019 (EDT) | Capcom Japan handed the rights for Street Fighter over to Capcom USA a while back when the IP was still dormant so they could license it out overseas and maybe squeeze a profit out of it, so they technically have control over what happens with the property, but Capcom USA ultimately answers to Capcom Japan so it doesn't mean much.
