I noticed this a few months ago. On the back of the disc case for Brawl, where it mentions Final Smashes, the guy on the left looks strangely like Roy. On the article, look for a picture of Roy's palette swaps and compare the red cape palette and the disc case picture. Also, the appearance of the Mario Finale (it looks nothing like the real one) shows that the picture is a beta screenshot, so it is very possible that Roy really is in the picture. Most top players also are not very serious online - players like Mew2King underperform due to not taking these kinds of tournaments seriously.

If that was the case, Ginger would also be listed as a notable Kirby main due to placing 9th at Rona Rumble: Midwest III. MemeDedede (talk) 22:24, June 19, 2020 (EDT)

:Yeah I'm aware of the differences between Netplay events, which is why I agree with not having Zain listed as a notable main. I still think some coverage on notable happenings in Netplay events isn't completely out of the picture, though. It shouldn't be held to the same prestige as a real local or regional, of course, but it is relevant to the community, since it got people talking about Roy again and his place in the metagame. Some other pages list top players' tier lists and opinions, and I feel like talking about Zain's Rona Rumble win is along those same lines in that it's something that generated legitimate discussion. (edit: and I do think that blurb adds to the discussion on Roy's bad matchups, since it shows that even a top 5-level player like Zain can easily be defeated by floaty mains that are much weaker than him, such as 2saint and lloD, just on matchup alone.) -- Yellow of the Grove 19:22, June 20, 2020 (EDT)
