The Mega/Rock Upper actually originates from the Arcade title "MegaMan 2: The Power Fighters", where each playable character posesses an alternate charage attack by titling the joystick UP before releasing the charge shot. Mega/RockMan's is the Mega/Rock Upper, a flaming uppercut not unlike the Shoryuken of Street Fighter fame. The move also appears as a part of MegaMan's movelist in Marvel vs. Capcom, this time with a blue hue instead of the previous fiery golden one.<small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.193.96.150 (talk • contribs) 00:22, September 20, 2013 (CDT)</small>

I'm not entirely sure if this is necessary, but shouldn't Mega Man's final smash say who each incarnation of Mega Man  is and mention what series they came from? Sakurai stated that the Mega Upper is from Marvel vs. Capcom. It's actually from the arcade game Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters. I was wondering if we can actually show the pallet swaps instead of describing them. --Mega Ben (talk) 20:09, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
:We have a page for that. It wouldn't hurt to cross-link it on the SSB4 character pages, but it's not particularly urgent until we have all of the costumes confirmed. ==Differences in the Same move: The Mega Buster==
Despite what the article says now, according to the smash demo, the mega buster is NOT the same across its inputs. The differences lie in the hit-boxes, two of the three have sweetspots with drastically different effects. Here's the rundown.
:Forward tilt-no sweetspot, same throughout,
:Jab-sweetspot located on the arm cannon, deals 2.5% damage rather than 2% and slightly higher knock back
:Nair-sweetspot located within mega man, deals 4% damage rather than 2% and massive knockback

The Back Air's Hit Boxes
:I just used it multiple times in multiple matches and it is a potent meteor smash or spike, personally I obtained a KO at 35% by using it (although it was a level 9 CPU).98.112.97.149 19:43, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
::The back air has three hits totaling 12%, each color coded (yellow then red then blue) and each with a different hitbox. The yellow slash has a direction I have not determined yet with 3% damage and low knockback. The red slash is directed slightly diagonal but mostly vertical and downward; it deals 4% damage and decent to high knockback for a meteor smash (I think the previously mentioned KO was a fluke). The blue slash is directed horizontally and slightly vertically; it deals 5% damage and high knockback. 98.112.97.149 21:42, 2 October 2014 (EDT)

It is based on _______'s weapon from _____
I'm not sure whether we should stick origins in there. Probably the best solution to this would be putting this under the Mega Man (universe) page, where we could list the moves and their origin robot with bullets (under the List of games with elements in the Super Smash Bros. series section). Do we keep it as is or should we move the stuff over? <font face="sand"><font color="black">Qw</font><font color="003F3F">er</font><font color="005F5F">ty</font> <font color="005F6F">(t</font><font color="003C6F">al</font><font color="000F7F">k)</font></font> 22:22, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
Mega Man 5 - Unrepresented?
I could be wrong about this, but given the current moveset it would seem that no Robot Master weapons from Mega Man 5 were used. However, one could argue that Beat happens to be an obtainable move(Not a Robot Master weapon). It just irks me that none of the weapons from Mega Man 5 were represented. I feel that Charge Man's "Charge Kick" could have been used instead of the normal slide, and that this was a missed opportunity. They were even able to slip in Galaxy Man's "Black Hole Bomb", although it is only shown during Mega Man's Final Smash. I was just wondering if anyone else may have noticed as well, or if anyone has any information as to why Mega Man 5 got the short end. ::I apologize for that. I merely thought this was a page regarding discussion about Mega Man in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS(SSB4). I did not intend to use this page for random topics. It puzzles me that even with the interchangeable abilities they seemingly forgot weapons from one of the NES titles. Perhaps it's a clue?
