Actually, the KO Uppercut always had super armor from the beginning, but ONLY if the attack connects. (Lil' Mac main here, and I've played enough 4 player level 9 smash games to realize this.) The startup doesn't have super armor though, so you can interrupt it in the tiny few frames when the move starts. Yeah, its pretty funny when you trade with a KO Uppercut and both of you get sent flying to your doom. Anyway, that should clear things up, KO Uppercut does have specific frames where it has super armor.
