| Are there no png images of the renders of the Cuphead spirits available outside of the in-game rips? I've scoured for a very long time and can't find any that are identical to the ones used for the spirits. Is the person who usually does the in-game rips unavailable at this time? | | Are there no png images of the renders of the Cuphead spirits available outside of the in-game rips? | :I was wondering this too; how do we not have transparent PNGs for them yet? | ::It's because we don't take fan transparencies, and instead rely on the images being ripped from the game's files, which Cuphead hasn't had yet. | :::I know Random Talking Bush on Spriters Resource often has the rips, but he has said "Due to changes in the backend regarding event-based Spirits, I actually cannot rip the Link's Awakening spirits yet (or any others not tied to character releases in the future)". I'm not aware of anyone else who has the tools to rip the images. We may have to wait until something changes that allows them to be ripped.--CanvasK (talk) 14:28, March 16, 2020 (EDT)

| ::::While we're on the subject of non-transparent spirit images: We still don't have an image for the Natah spirit at all. Would this be a suitable replacement until the spirit itself gets ripped? | == Moving ARMS spirits ==
| |
|
| |
| With the unknown ARMS fighter appearing soon, for those of us who want to move the spirits to its own list, I think it's fair that after the ARMS DLC is released, we should look at the base spirits on the Spirit Collection list and see if they have the ARMS symbol put up. That way, we'll know when to move them. Juju1995 (talk) 20:37, March 26, 2020 (EDT)
| |
| :I'm not opposed to giving ARMS its own page, but we need to wait for it to be confirmed that they are counted as their own before removing them from this page. I'll definitely be watching the spirits collection and the ability plates to see if there is a change and updating as needed. I'll also be checking for the series damage bonus to be sure.--CanvasK (talk) 20:45, March 26, 2020 (EDT)

| == Ralf & Clark ==
| |
|
| |
| If I'm not mistaken, SmashWiki's current practice is that spirits featuring multiple characters (such as Ralf & Clark) have their "origin game" as the first game featuring both characters together as a duo, rather than separately listing their individual debuts, in order to reduce the amount of content in the origins column. Examples include Boom Boom & Pom Pom, Dixie Kong & Kiddy Kong, Donkey Kong & Bongos (even though Bongos isn't a character, but I digress), and Skull Kid & Majora's Mask. --PeabodySam (talk) 15:15, April 17, 2020 (EDT)
| |
| :A counterargument I would like to make to this is that all of the examples you listed have atleast one of the characters within them appear as standalone spirits (Boom Boom, Dixie Kong, Donkey Kong, and both Skull Kid and Majora's Mask <s>which makes me wonder why the "Skull Kid & Majora's Mask" isn't a Summon Spirit</s>. Neither Ralf nor Clark have a standalone spirit of their own, meaning there's no way to know that Ralf didn't debut in Ikari Warriors. To prove my point, Banjo & Kazooie's spirit doesn't follow this rule on the BK spirits page. If I can be quite honest, though, I feel like the "origin game" and "artwork origin" parts should be removed altogether as no info like that is present in-game. | ::Well, that discussion is what this forum is for (but, as a counterpoint, SmashWiki in general is full of "origin game" information that isn't present in-game, so I don't see why this should be held against spirits). Otherwise, I suppose it's a fair point that the other "duo spirits" have another spirit for the individual character debuts. --PeabodySam (talk) 15:29, April 17, 2020 (EDT)
