Deletion[edit]
Quite unknown and should be deleted as a result. MegaTron1XD 17:39, 31 March 2011 (EDT)
- Delete This page is stating the obvious. If your aerial momentum during an aerial attack or whatever carries you off the stage, then of course there's no landing lag because you didn't land on the stage. This page should be deleted quickly.Mousehunter321 (talk) 22:39, 6 December 2011 (EST)
- Delete well, i have to agree with ^, there's not much more to be said. P.S. user above me, please sign your talk page edits with 4 tildes (~~~~). Pokémonultimate Do a Barrel Roll! 22:37, 6 December 2011 (EST)
- Delete Poorly made, and isn't worth expansion. Toast ltimatum 04:55, 7 December 2011 (EST)
- Request to Cancel Deletion The article has now been updated to make it to make it more relevant and more comprehensive. The article now explains the mechanics of ledge-canceling in more detail, as well as possible to utilize it.
- Also, ambiguity should be considered an insufficient argument for deletion since Smash Wiki is meant to cataloging information pertaining to Super Mash Bros., and ledge-canceling pertains to Super Smash Bros. Crash 05:00, 3 January 2012 (EST)
Oppose This is valid information not covered elsewhere. Omega Tyrant 07:23, 3 January 2012 (EST)
Move?[edit]
I think we should move this page to "Ledge-canceling" because the actual name has a hyphen. F.T.B. (TALK) 16:53, 28 February 2013 (EST)
Isn't this in Smash 4?[edit]
Unless I'm missing something, this can be done with Mewtwo, Pikachu, and Palutena up specials (for example; there is probably more). RobSir zx 00:59, 22 March 2016 (EDT)
- Ok, so this page should literally be considered a stub at this point, because every Smash game has this mechanic to some degree. It has hardly been touched for several years and needs massive expansion in detail and information. New sections[edit]
Alright, so we're saying that this page should include edge cancelling, right? Like the whole stuff with Mewtwo and Pikachu? But I'm also wondering if this article should include a different type of ledge/edge cancelling that has no specific name. Like, the one where you cancel your lag by being pushed off of an edge by a windbox. I'm not sure if that should be included since it's not that important, but it can help characters like Pac-Man get some combos off of his throws. Thoughts? - Are ledge cancelling and edge cancelling different? That would be confusing...I'll have to do some research there. At the very least, there are enough differences in the mechanic between games that it's worth separating into sections and elaborating on the differences. The windbox thing you're referring to might be a teeter cancel. Taunt cancelling is related, and I think the Smash 4 jab ledge cancel thingy is too, but those might already have their own articles... again, more research to do before editing. Move? Pt2[edit]
thinking this should be moved to Edge-cancelling. more people call it that and ledge cancelling doesnt have anything to do with the Ledge. Variaamaxxing (talk) 18:33, November 24, 2024 (EST)
