If you don't know what this is, it's when Dedede throws a Waddle and wavedashes into it, giving him horizontal momentum as he throws it again. It greatly helps his recovery. It seems like a PM-exclusive glitch that is worth a mention on this article as players like Fly use it quite often. Dragon5 (talk) 18:22, 18 March 2014 (EDT)

My reasoning.
First, let's talk about the flawed logic:
1) This is a recurring issue on both the PM and Brawl pages: falling speed. Dedede's falling speed cannot be slower in any way because of one thing: physics. PM is designed to be a sequel to Melee: on the main page for PM, it says all falling speeds and gravity are increased, so Dedede's falling speed would actually be faster.
2) It says drastically nerfed recovery that is very easily edgeguarded. Unless super armor was the only thing keeping Dedede's recovery afloat, this really shouldn't be the case as a result of SDJ's added versatility and the fact that it still has some armor, his increased air speed, and he supposedly has a slower falling speed One less jump and having medium armor instead of super armor shouldn't be the only determining factors if whether Dedede's recovery is actually much worse or easily edgeguarded.
Missing facts:
1) I already detailed some of this, but if Dedede's falling speed IS slower, falling speed means more than just endurance. Especially if you think about his mediocre aerials outside of back air, and his lack of speed and mobility, slower falling speed can actually benefit Dedede because it improves his recovery.
2) Remember, Dedede is still a heavy with a decently fast falling speed (if I remember correctly, the 12th fastest?) and no longer has any real issues KOing compared to other heavies like he did in Brawl. Seems like he doesn't really fit the archetype of a glass cannon.
Not trying to attack dedicated users who try their best to add info, but there is ignored logic and facts that need to be considered. 45.37.25.25 11:56, 17 August 2015 (EDT)
"Almost turning him into a glass cannon"
I get I said this as an IP but..This. Cannot. Be. True.
First off, how can his falling speed possibly be slower? All characters had their falling speeds increased. This is very flawed logic. Besides, even if it was slower, it doesn't seem right to call him "glass". He's still a heavy with an above average falling speed and gravity.
Second, his recovery was nerfed? I beg to differ. His air speed is faster, his fall speed is supposedly slower, and SDJ has offense as a defense, and still has some sort of armor. A loss of a jump and weakened armor can't be that precious.
Finally, the "cannon" part can still be somewhat debated as he still has poor frame data and some mediocre attacks, even if he doesn't have issues KOing compared to other heavyweights like Brawl.
Long and overdue statement but...here it is. <span style="color: black;">Ganonmew</span>, <span style="color: orange;">The Evil Clone</span> 09:21, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
