List of glitches
I feel like we should list the notable glitches in each game to show them like what mariowiki does. Its Ya Boy, MeleeBoi 16:51, June 8, 2020 (EDT)
Not sure if it's best of me to bump this section instead of creating a new one (though it has been discussed here before, but now that this has passed, I'm wondering if we ought to expand and rename this page into "List of glitches" a la the leaks and rumors pages (not going to tag for a move yet). Of course, the million dollar question is "what do we put on here" (we will probably need separate pages for each game but let's not worry about that for now), and even though the Wiki has a bit of a history with taking down non notable glitches, I think we can mostly allow them here. However, I am probably going to be the first to say that minor visual bugs should be consolidated into one section for each game. As for layout, I think it would be best to go for two bar section headers for each glitch unlike the leaks and rumors pages: that way we have room for potential explanations and video demonstrations. Of course, this is all open for discussion. - EndGenuity (talk) 15:44, September 13, 2020 (EDT)
:I don't know about that. -CirbyoKieeb (talk) 16:08, December 24, 2020 (EST)
Odd glitch with Chrom's Final Smash in Ultimate
I discovered a glitch quite a while back that has to do with Chrom's Final Smash. It's happened twice to my knowledge: once to me when I was playing a 1v1 match with someone else, and then it happened again during an 8-player match while someone I know was playing as Chrom. I don't think I can do it on purpose, it's just a little bug. What happened is this: Chrom used his Final Smash and it hit someone, but instead of staying in midair like victims usually do before Chrom hits them again, the victim hits the floor normally and is able to move around. When the glitch activated in the 1v1 match I was playing, I was hit by the Final Smash, but my character (I was playing as Lucina, but I don't think that matters much) hit the floor and laid there, and then I rolled away and jumped over the second hit. Pretty much the same thing happened with the 8-player match: the CPU hit the floor, and then got up and began jumping. I think we saved a recording of the 8-player match, but I have to go find it, and then when I'm autoconfirmed I can make a GIF out of it and upload it to the wiki. I don't think it matters what the opponent is or what the stage is, it just happens sometimes. I don't know what causes the glitch. Has anyone else experienced/heard of this particular glitch? And is it noteworthy or not? -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 18:03, July 30, 2024 (EDT)
:Haven't heard of this, but if you can show me how you did it I'd be happy to try and replicate it as well. <span style="color: blue;">Alex</span> the <span style="color: red;">Weeb</span> 18:33, July 30, 2024 (EDT)
::Okay, I'll try and find that saved video. I have to wait a few days, though- I'm not autoconfirmed yet. I'm glad someone's interested, though! -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 18:37, July 30, 2024 (EDT)
:::Could upload it to YouTube first and share the link. That way we can try to replicate it with more focus on the glitch without taking up server space. And could just leave it as a YT upload instead of making a GIF in the end as it would higher quality and longer if needed. --CanvasK (talk) 18:42, July 30, 2024 (EDT)
::::Good idea, although I don't know how I'd do that. I've never uploaded a video to Youtube in my life, so it might take me a bit to get it figured out. I'll work on it, though! Thanks for the suggestion! -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 17:24, July 31, 2024 (EDT)
:::::Update: I found the replay data, and I'll make a video of it tonight. I should have the video linked here in a couple of days. -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 16:06, August 4, 2024 (EDT)
::::::Okay, I know. It's been a while. I'm super busy right now, but I will be making efforts to get the video on here soon, I promise! -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 16:24, August 27, 2024 (EDT)
