| ::::I mean, R.O.B. has a separate page for all three of his alternate Final Smashes. I think Luigi and Rosalina are the only ones who's FS stay more or less the same and don't have separate pages, while Diddy, DK, and R.O.B. have separate pages as the moves work differently in some way. I think Giga Bowser and Giga Mac are the only ones that have a different name and function that have yet to be separated. Aside from the Gigas, the FS pages should probably be changed to reflect the current/latest name. If they're not separated into their own pages, the Gigas' names should probably stay the same as the Gigas are technically characters (either the same or different of their user). | ::::::I agree to split the Giga Bowsers and Giga Macs (for reasons above), but I oppose Wario-Man as that one kept it name exactly the same (unless the list has yet to update it). Wolff (talk) 22:33, 1 December 2018 (EST)

| ::::::Although the way Wario-Man works changed, it still has the same name. Also, the page has all the changes between the games on there as well. I don't think it makes sense to have two pages named the same like Wario-Man [B/4] and Wario-Man [U]. If the function changed and not the name, why would we make another page for it? Luigi and Rosalina's names changed, but the functions stayed pretty much exactly the same. Both the name and function of the Final Smash need be taken into account, otherwise we'd have nearly identical pages, or ones that say more or less the same info in some areas.

| ::::::I feel Luigi, Rosalina, and Wario's FS should keep the same pages, while Bowser, Little Mac, and R.O.B.'s FS get different pages. All for reasons previously stated. Wolff (talk) 22:46, 1 December 2018 (EST)

| == Shouldn't the moveset links point to specific instances instead of general pages? ==
| |
|
| |
| This was already kinda discussed previously on the talk page for the list of SSBM semi-spikes. Basically, when someone clicks on a move link, they're probably expecting to be taken to the hitbox page for that move, rather than the generic page. There's also the issue of duplicate links (one set of links for SSBB & a duplicate one for SSB4). I fixed all the list of semi-spikes (SSBX) pages, I wouldn't mind fixing Giga Bowser's moveset section. I'm sure it's fine, I just want another user's feedback before making such a big change. | :I'd say go for it. Since he has his own hitbox data pages, then should probably go ahead an use the standard moveset table like on Wario-Man. Unfortunately we can't use the template because of how it does links, so that may take a bit. If you want to do just the links for now that'd be fine. --CanvasK (talk) 20:46, November 30, 2024 (EST)

| ::Thanks; that's what I'll do. I most likely won't get to "fix" the moveset table until after the new year. When I do, I'll probably just copy/paste the template source into the page then hack at it to get it work, since there's no other transformation final smashes (except for Giga Mac, which is a whole separate issue) that give a new moveset, rather than making another template.
