Does desynching return in brawl? <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs) </small>
Does desynching return in brawl?

:Yes, but the mechanics have changed in many ways making it easier to maintain a desync, but harder to get the initial move off. --<font color="000023">RJM</font> Talk 17:05, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Table for desynching
So an editor tagged that tables about desynching possibilities (Ice Climbers, Rosalina & Luma) could help. I want to help out here, but I am not entirely confident what table headers can work for this article. Does anybody have ideas? -- <span style="color:#20B2AA;">Derekblue1</span> <span style="color:#20B2AA;">(talk)</span> 07:34, April 18, 2020 (EDT)
:I'm really late, but the idea was to have a table for Ice Climbers, and a table for Rosalina & Luma, with moves listed that can cause desyncs. Then there would be a second column for explanations. I think this would be a great, concise way to deliver the content the people would come here for.

{| class="wikitable" align="center"
|-
| colspan="2" align="center" | Ice Climbers
|-
! Move !! Explanation
|-
| Neutral attack || Desync explanation here
|-

{| class="wikitable" align="center"
|-
| colspan="2" align="center" | Rosalina & Luma
|-
! Move !! Explanation
|-
| Neutral attack || Desync explanation here (idk if this even can)

:I hope this helps anyone looking to edit the page. I would do it if I had the knowledge, I really would. --[[File:King K. ==External Resources==
I have been looking into different sites that state different facts about desyncing, and I found quite a few of them. I figured they could be of some help when it comes to bolstering the Desynching page. I'll try to do what I can, though I am pretty weak when it comes to knowledge on the subject. Here are those links I found:
*https://smashboards.com/threads/updated-10-6-2019-original-ice-climbers-ultimate-desync-guide-made-12-4-2018.464513/ (this page has a link that opens up Google Drive, explaining in great detail about desynching in Ultimate.)
*https://lightgungalaxy.com/2018/12/27/how-to-desync-the-ice-climbers-in-super-smash-bros-ultimate/ (I doubt this link is as informative as the first about desynching in Ultimate, but it explains it in a different way.)
* (A tutorial, of sorts, for desynching in Melee.)

I am still doing research to better understand it myself, but it will take me a while before I can truly comprehend its complex nature. I hope these external links are enough for someone else to try to expand and add to the article. :I have this link which leads to the aforementioned Google Drive that lists the details about Ultimate desyncing. == Ideas for rewriting this page since it's outdated and kind of disorganized. ==

I was thinking it could start with the overview and establish the categories of desyncs (NBDs, CBDs, etc.) then have links to different pages for SSBM, SSBB, and SSBU. Each page would go over every category of desync tech in its respective game. Yo&#39;ster (talk) 16:56, June 4, 2024 (EDT)
:I don't think different pages per game is necessary when a lot of desync methods are shared. I think having a section for desync methods and then a section for common combos (mentioning which method is typically used to do them and what game it is viable in) would be simpler and without duplicate info. --CanvasK (talk) 16:59, June 4, 2024 (EDT)
::So something like
here's all the methods

m1

m2

m3

here's stuff you can do with them

m1
............

it works in

B U

m2
...

it works in

M

m3
..............

it works in

M B U

like that? Yo&#39;ster (talk) 17:22, June 4, 2024 (EDT)
:Canvas? Yo&#39;ster (talk) 19:47, June 5, 2024 (EDT)
::Because combos aren't inherently tied to a particular method (for instance, you can do FThrow->Fsmash with Squall desync or backdash desync), I was thinking more along the lines of:
<pre>
Methods
*m1...
*m2...
*m3...

Combos
*c1 can be performed in G1 and G2. It is performed by doing m2 below N%...
*c2 can be performed in G3. It can be done out of m3 but can also be done in neutral using m1 within an X frame window...
</pre>
::I think this would make it more flexible. Even if most combos will be tied to one method, there will be a few that don't fit into just one. --CanvasK (talk) 20:26, June 5, 2024 (EDT)
:::Should each established method mention which games it works in? <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by Yo'ster (talk • contribs) 21:50, June 5, 2024 (EDT)</small>
::::If possible, yes. --CanvasK (talk) 22:23, June 5, 2024 (EDT)
:::::I've made an article based on the format you had in mind, so if you haven't already, have a look and tell me if it would work. It's only got a couple techs so far, but you'll probably get the idea. Yo&#39;ster (talk) 21:25, June 7, 2024 (EDT)
:::::Canvas? Yo&#39;ster (talk) 21:49, June 8, 2024 (EDT)
::::::The headings for the games are excessive when all it has is a sentence saying "yes work" or "no work"; work the mentions of what games things work in into the parent section. I don't think the images for cheerless smash are useful: the actions are too fast to be seen at their size and give a lot weight to a simple string. At minimum the images need to be slowed down, zooming in would also help as the KO is not necessary to the execution. I also recommend reading SmashWiki:Manual of Style, namely about how headings should be formatted. --CanvasK (talk) 22:13, June 8, 2024 (EDT)
:::::::But didn't you already reformat on the Cheerless page? Were the GIFs a problem then? <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by Yo'ster (talk • contribs) 08:08, June 9, 2024 (EDT)</small>
::::::::I didn't give them much thought at that time, but thinking on it they'd probably need a similar consideration if it were its own article. There are other GIFs of combos on the wiki, but they typically don't last 5 frames or small spacing requirements. --CanvasK (talk) 09:28, June 9, 2024 (EDT)
:::::::::Having info on desyncing with Rosalina and Luma on this page seems resonable, but the Ice Climber-centric stuff is already a big deal, so for the sake of getting updated information out sooner, maybe I should just make the Icies' part, replace the old one, then add Rosa desyncs later on.Yo&#39;ster (talk) 10:37, July 19, 2024 (EDT)Yo'ster
::::::::::Oi! Canvas? You aren't nodding off on me, are you? Yo&#39;ster (talk) 08:00, July 20, 2024 (EDT)Yo'ster
:::::::::::I think I'll just do 1 at a time. Although it probably doesn't matter too much.
