:ADDITIONAL: I did some further testing by including Pokeballs, Daybreak and Dragoon parts, and the Smash Ball. I did everything to try and replicate what you sometimes saw, as highlighted in the videos, but no matter what happened, it was always the one who did the KO. I also discovered something else - On a KO, as well as the damage counter flashing with fire, the attacker's model gets a similar aura burst effect on a KO, and it's in the player's colour. And unlike the fire effect, this aura burst effect also occurs on the 3DS version. Black Vulpine 23:06, 6 April 2017 (AEST)

:ADDITIONAL ADDITIONAL :p (Last one, I swear): I think I have got what you're showing in the videos pinned down, and I'm even more convinced it's a glitch with the replay system. I watched your videos carefully and observed that when a KO happened the flame burst effect appears on the damage meter of whoever is on the LEFT of the one who made the KO (if it was you who made the KO, then it wrapped around to P4). I took that one away from the first video. When I looked carefully at the second video, my suspicion was confirmed. There was only ONE exception, and it was when you KO'd P4 during the Final Smash in the first video. In that instance, it was P3's meter that flashed instead. But I would still put all this down to a glitch in the replay system. And here's the final nail in the coffin: Both of these videos, as well as the notes before the ones I've put in here, were recorded prior to the last update Smash has received. If I've done everything I can to replicate the issue and still haven't seen it, it's highly likely that it was a bug that's since been patched. And in all cases, the aura burst did appear on the correct character (though for some KOs the correct character was out of view, and/or the KO blast obscured the view). ::Very late to be resolving this, but... I see what's going on here. Taking the Pyrosphere video as an example: this is a replay of an online match, meaning the player who saved the replay will be shown as player one, even though that may not be the case on the server side. Thus the player order is shown onscreen as Villager, Ganondorf, Ness, Mewtwo. But if you look at the auto-filled video description, you can see the real order: Ganondorf, Ness, Mewtwo, Villager. So Villager is actually player four, and when he scores a KO, the game shows the flame effect on player four's meter - forgetting that the characters have been swapped around. What we have here, then, is a minor glitch with online match replays. Looking at a more recent video of my own, I can confirm it still exists in the current version of the game. :::Okay, so it looks like the mystery is solved. So, can we now say that the flame burst effect is directly related to whomever made the KO? Black Vulpine 23:58, 6 April 2017 (AEST)
UI additions?
Does anybody know if a page that specifically talks about unique damage meter UIs like Rebellion Gauge or Minecraft materials already exists (I search damage meter and UI but neither give me an actual page)? If not, should one be made due to amount of fighters with unique UI additions? Pratikmii03 (talk) 11:56, February 1, 2021 (EST)
:There's fighter ability which mentions most, if not all, of the UI additions. But I don't know of a page that is dedicated to the meters, though I feel like this page and fighter ability is sufficient. --CanvasK (talk) 12:07, February 1, 2021 (EST)
