It seems to me that the SSB Wiki does host pages regarding memes (e.g. Wombo Combo) as well as liminal interpersonal of community interest (e.g. Leffen vs. Chillin (Apex 2015). Mass internet phenomena comprise a fair amount of the human experience in this day and age, and Wikipedia hosts many pages on sufficiently well-known memes, e.g. Longcat, Nyan Cat, Loituma Girl. I would argue that Dabuz copypasta is a phenomenon that transcends what's typically given in a bullet point of "trivia"; for example, you can bring any of the trivia listed for Maister to Google and the results will have no idea what you're talking about. : @Cookies_and_Creme On further thought, perhaps the appropriate scale for this subject would be its own section on the Dabuz page? I do think that this 3-year-old widespread phenomenon deserves its own explanation, but there's not so much on the topic that it needs its own page. ::A major difference between Wombo Combo and the copypastas is that Wombo Combo gained traction because it was memorable while the copypastas (at least as they appear to me) are forced and/or ironic for the sake of it. There's also the fact that at the bare minimum half of the "copypastas" are just other copypastas with Dabuz slotted into them. Also, SmashWiki is not Wikipedia--we don't have to follow what they deem article-worthy. You could maybe get away with saying (on his article) that Dabuz has several memes/in-jokes. --CanvasK (talk) 22:30, October 27, 2023 (EDT)
We've discussed this on Discord already, but I'm going to point out a few things said here that I didn't talk about on Discord.
Wombo Combo and Leffen v Chillin did not start out as memes, but rather iconic moments in the history of Smash, which is the reason why they have pages on the wiki in the first place. In the former, it was very popular in the community due to its combo and commentary, which was why it eventually became a meme. Even as a meme, it became a staple in MLG meme culture, which transcends the Smash community to the point where people who don't know competitive Melee know about it. For the latter, the salty suite was iconic due to the events that led up to Chillin's embarrasing loss, which included Leffen's history as a villain and Chillin's own trash talk and diss track. It's because of all of that that it became a running joke in the community.
On the other hand, the Dabuz Copypasta, at its core, is just a copypasta, which isn't really unique to Dabuz, since many players, like on Alex19 and Hungrybox, have rather iconic copypastas; it's more so an internet thing and is not something unique to the Smash community. Memes like this tend to be listed in the Trivia section, such as the ApolloKage-Deathspade relationship meme and Live Shuton reaction. Just because Dabuz has an article on his meme status doesn't really change much in my opinion, aside from showing that the meme has a greater impact on the community than others; granted, it did help shift opinions on Dabuz, but that impact is still mostly limited to Dabuz and his fanbase rather than the greater Smash community.
In addition, I don't think Maister is the best example for what transcends trivia. There really isn't anything "memey" about Maister that isn't self-contained (eg Avatar State) so there's not going to be a lot of information on the internet. On the other hand, there's stuff like Hungrybox's popoffs that are iconic, more so than the Dabuz Copypasta. Yet, there's also no incentive for it to have its own page or even subsection. As in, listing every instance is very likely impossible; talking about opinions on the popoff detracts from the point being made -- that it's an iconic Hungrybox thing to do; so what can you even discuss about it? In my opinion, the Dabuz Copypasta is in a similar boat: there's really nothing you can talk about outside from it being part of Dabuz's "fandom".
I've already listed out my overall thoughts on Discord so I won't reiterate it here, but as of right now I don't see the Dabuz Copypasta as anything than extended trivia.
