== Relation of the "Koopa Kids/Koopalings" ==

While this ''should'' common knowledge by now, it's apparently still not to many who have been referring to them as his offspring on this page. The Koopalings (formerly known as the "Koopa Kids") are not Bowser's offspring. This has been demonstrated in numerous ways throughout the years: 

1.)By the very fact that one is named "Morton Jr."<br>
2.)The cartoon series showed they were adopted<br>
3.)The introduction of Bowser Jr.<br>
4.)They were never specifically stated to to be his offspring<br>
5.)The fact that they specifically changed the name to "Koopalings" to avoid confusion.<br>

::I've personally never heard "junior" used for any other relative other than a son. Anyways I could have sworn I remembered an episode that said they were adopted but I can't find anything info on the Web about it so maybe I just dreamed it. Granted, growing up I always thought they were supposed to be his kids too, but nowadays it now it seems fairly clear that Nintendo's been specifically trying to suggest otherwise in recent years with their sudden name change to "Koopalings" and their new emphasis on Bowser Jr. Plus when you examine them and notice names like "Morton Jr." you kinda have reconsider their relationship, especially when they've never actually said they were his kids in any of the games. I suspect the original Japanese SMB3 development team did not intend for them to be Bowser's offspring when they designed them, but NOA interpreted them that way and marketed them as such in the cartoons etc. Maybe it's worth at least mentioning them on the page as possibly being his children, but their relationship definitely isn't certain. --[[User:Bman87301|Bman87301]] 23:37, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

::::Okay, I may have confused you by the order I listed things in my first post. Morton's name isn't the main reasoning for the argument--it's how the Nintendo has been presenting things in recent years (like focusing exclusively on Bowser Jr. and changing their name to "Koopalings", thus removing "Kids" from the name). My point is we don't know whether or not the designers intended them to be his kids. You're right, Morton's name doesn't prove anything, but it certainly doesn't help the theory that he's a son either. Pun or not, it's still the name they chose. And if they ''did'' intend him to be his son there were plenty of other pun names they could have used-- that's the whole reason I mentioned his name. You need to stop focusing on the whole "Morton Jr." thing because if you don't you're just missing the point. == Glitch ==

==Mushroom Kingdom Residence?==
I noticed in a recent edit that Gargomon251 claims that Bowser never lived in the Mushroom Kingdom. If that's true then where is it that he does live? As far as I'm aware, none of the games have ever mentioned a name of another land that Bowser and his Koopa clan originated from. The only name ever used has been "Mushroom Kingdom". And his castle ''was'' located the Mushroom Kingdom in ''Super Mario Bros. 3''.  While Bowser's castle in may be located underground, it's still IN the Mushroom Kingdom so he ''did'' live there at least once.  What I always gathered from the story was that the Koopas were at war the Toadstools because they were vying for power over the kingdom that both factions lived in. And since no other land was other mentioned, the MK is the only place established as being their home, so doesn't that establish it was their homeland? :Well, let's see...in Super Mario RPG he lived in his Caslte way past Mushroom Way and Vista Point, in Mario World his castle was in Dinosaur Land, and in Mario & Luigi I'm pretty sure his castle was over the skies of Beanbean Kingdom...I'm not sure. I always assumed the "kingdom" wasn't a country per se, but a city, and that Bowser always lurked just outside his boundaries, somewhat like Ganondorf with the Hyrule/Hylia area. in smash brothers bowser retreats into his shell like regular koopas do for some of his attacks,up special,down smash,my question is,has there ever actually been a game in wich bowser retreats into his shell,i cant remember,but it seems impossible considering bowsers shell isnt like a regular koopas,regular koopas can actually take their shells of or retreat into them but bowsers shell is attached to his back and cant be removed,and it doesnt actually have a front side like other koopa shells,his front is his actuall flesh not the underside of his shell,so how exactly can he retreat into only half a shell,has he ever done it in any actual mario game?~gig~
