The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the Trn template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Changing these specific color names manually messes up the stock icon placements. There should be a way to do that without messing them up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Karson05 (talk • contribs) 19:50, May 4, 2021 (EDT)

:As stated here, this is exactly why we do this with the images, so people cannot simply change them to their own personal taste. == Miscellanious colors ==

I don't know if anyone will check this ones but here I go!

Bowser (Black) resembles Buzzy Beetle in the original Super Mario Bros. and the Super Mario All-Stars version of the game;

I agree with the previous guy that Donkey Kong (Green) is mostly based on his apparence on Donkey Kong Land but more streamlined, if not, maybe is based on King K.Rool;

Falco (Red) might be based on Peppy Hare or General Pepper who is actually fully clothed in red;

Falco (Blue) is either Slippy Toad in Star Fox and Star Fox 64 or the Arwing;

Fox (Orange) is based on his jump-suit on Star Fox;

Fox (Blue) could also resemble Slippy mostly because its a darker shade of blue on the jumpsuit than Falco's;

Ganondorf (R,G,B) could represent the colors of the Gerudo Warriors even though some colors (Green and Blue) are glitches that matches Link's tunic, but Blue could reference Ganon on The Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past;

Ganondorf (Purple) could reference Din in Ocarina of Time which was had a purple-pink color in the cutscene or Gerudo Guards;

Mewtwo (Red) is also similar to his sprite in Pokémon Yellow;

Mewtwo (Green) might be how he looked in an original green Game Boy screen;

Mr. G&W (Green) resembles the characters and objects on the orignal Game Boy screen;

Roy (Blue) also resemble the sprites of allied units in the Fire Emblem series and also the Link Arena; Roy (Red & Green) also represents Enemy Units and Neutral Units in the Fire Emblem series respectively;

Roy (Yellow) resembles Eyvel in Thracia 776 (Brigid is herself in Genealogy of the Holy War but she wears black legwear or going bare compared to the white pants worn as Eyvel).

If I ignored some is because of being actually sourced in later Smash games namely:

Captain Falcon (Green), Dr. Mario (Blue & Green), Zelda (Blue).

:Edit: I originally had written that Falco (Blue) could be also be based Slippy but that would not match if I said the same for Fox as both are blue but different implementation. DoctaShield (talk) 19:09, November 6, 2021 (EDT)

:Donkey Kong (Green) could be more likely be his sprite in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong while Donkey Kong (Black) could also reflect him in the monochrome screen of the Game Boy game Donkey Kong Land or his sprite in the Game Boy Color version of Game & Watch Gallery 2 and Donkey Kong Jr. in Game & Watch Gallery 3. == Roy and Marth's Alternate Costume Sourcing ==

Roy and Marth's green and red alternate costumes are based on the appearance of "Allied" and "Enemy" sprites of units in the map view in Fire Emblem games. The Marth alternate costume section should be amended to reflect this.
