Overview
Overview
When used, the Brawler charges forward with its knee out, much like Onslaught. If the Brawler connects with an opponent, it will grab them, dealing 3% damage, and true to the move's name, perform a jumping suplex: a leap upwards followed by a plummet headfirst into the ground, dealing 15% damage. In total, it deals 18%, and is even more damaging in a 1v1 setting; coupled with its speed, it is very effective for punishing overuse of shields. However the throw has extremely low knockback growth, not even KOing at percents higher than 300%, thus making it only practical for racking up damage quickly. Any opponents nearby will take damage during the grab and the slam, and the Brawler gains 14% armor during the animation, making the move safe in crowds. If it misses in midair, the Brawler will be rendered Helpless; as it gives very low horizontal distance, choosing Suplex as a side special move removes an effective recovery option from the player.
When used, the Brawler charges forward with its knee out, much like Onslaught. If the Brawler connects with an opponent, it will grab the opponent, and true to the move's name, perform a jumping suplex: a leap upwards followed by a plummet headfirst into the ground, dealing 22.2% damage fresh. To compensate, the move has extremely low knockback, not even KOing at percents higher than 300%, making it more practical for racking up damage. If used near a ledge, the move can be used as a Sacrificial KO, although it KOs the Brawler first. If it misses in midair, the Brawler will go into freefall.

If the Brawler approaches a ledge during the attack, then they will automatically stall, but if the move is used near a ledge, this will not happen. In the latter circumstance, the move can be used as a Sacrificial KO, similar to Kirby's throws in Super Smash Bros. Melee, although it will end up KO'ing the Brawler first, the move also has a tendency to release the opponent early into the sacrifice, making it easy for most charters to survive.

The suplex is a well-known move used in wrestling. The most common version is called the vertical suplex, where a wrestler lifts the opponents up, and forces the opponent's back into the mat by falling backwards. There are multiple versions of the move though, such as the fisherman suplex, where a wrestler hooks the opponent's leg behind the opponent's knee with their free hand, and the German suplex, where the wrestler grabs the opponent by their waist and slams them down on the mat or floor shoulders and upper body first. Franchise-wise, the Suplex move in a game was first used by Kirby and the respective helper in Kirby Super Star.

Suplex appears exclusively in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with two other Special Move customization options available. These are the variations:

Trivia
*If the Mii using this move is giant and uses it against a giant R.O.B., R.O.B. will be displaced so severely that the landing hit will deal no damage.
**However, if this move is used by stacking the "Giant" Custom Smash option with the Super Mushroom on small stages (such as Wario Ware, Inc.), R.O.B. will be instantly KO'd via the bottom blast zone.
