| | Staryu is a large, orange starfish with a red jewel in its center. As stated in the Pokédex, in this enigmatic species's center section is an organ called the core, which shines bright red. If you go to a beach toward the end of summer at midnight, the glowing cores of many Staryu look like the stars of the sky. It apparently communicates with the stars in the night sky by flashing its red core in the rhythm of a human heartbeat. It can regenerate its five limbs if they are severed from or chopped off its body, provided the red core remains. |
