The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Kirby (カービィ, Kirby) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream. He was "announced" by Smash Master on January 21, 2016 and is expected to be completed by mid-late February 2016. Kirby returns with an improved moveset.
Makiko Ōmoto again reprises the voice of Kirby.
Attributes
Kirby retains a very similar fighting style from the previous Smash games.
Changes from SSB4
Kirby has been greatly buffed from SSB4.
Attributes
Kirby's feet are larger, giving him better range in his attacks.
Kirby is slightly heavier (77 → 78), making him slightly harder to K.O., but slightly easier to combo.
Kirby's mid-air jumps give slightly more height while his grounded jump is moderately higher.
Kirby's walks faster (0.93 → 0.98).
Kirby's air speed is much faster (0.80 → 1.10).
Kirby's air acceleration is higher (0.065 → 0.075).
Kirby falls slightly slower (1.23 → 1.21).
Kirby's traction is higher (0.0493 → 0.063).
Ground attacks
Up tilt's clean hit deals 1% more damage (5%/4% → 6%/5%).
Forward smash comes out 1 frame faster (13 → 12).
Up smash comes out 3 frames faster (14 → 11).
Down smash semi-spikes at the tips of his feet, giving him another edge-guarding tool.
Aerial attacks
Back aerial's base knockback slightly increased and has decreased landing lag (17 → 8 frames).
Up aerial deals 3% more damage, and is much stronger, K.O.ing mid-weights at 160%.
Down aerial deals much more damage (9% → 16%) and comes out much faster (frame 18 → 6).
Throws/other attacks
Standing and dash grab have better range.
Down throw's knockback significantly decreased, making it a reliable follow up throw.
Special attacks
Airborne Final Cutter's vertical distance matches it's grounded version, making a better vertical recovery.
Stone K.O.s 9% earlier, has slightly less start up lag and does slightly more shield damage. Airborne Grounding stone K.O.s 8% earlier.
Moveset

On-screen appearance
Kirby rides in on a Warp Star and crashes down.
Taunts
- Up taunt: A Kirby Dance similar to his victory dances in the Kirby games.
- Side taunt: Spins around, then stops, sticking out his left leg and saying "Eeu!". Almost identical to the "preview" animation shown when he is chosen in the original Super Smash Bros.
- Down taunt: Faces the screen, waves his arms, and says his signature elongated "Hi!".

Victory poses
A remix directly from Brawl. Originally debuting in Kirby's Dream Land, it is a remix of the short recurring theme that plays when Kirby completes a stage or defeats a boss.
- Spins and holds his hand up.
- Does some flips, then holds his hand up.
- Skids to each side, then holds his hand up.
- All of Kirby's animations are variations of the Kirby Dance, performed when he completes a level in his games.
