It was announced on Ludwig’s Twitter account[1] in response to the postponement of the tournament GENESIS 8, and will be held during its original dates. The tournament will be the first open tournament in the series. It will have proportionate qualifiers from East Coast and West Coast into the top 64, as more people will play in East Coast pools than West Coast.[2] The tournament will have the most entrants for an online Melee tournaments, surpassing the of the largest offline Melee tournament, EVO 2016.
