The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

The best strategy is to stand on the very bottom platform, wait for him to come down, and use a D-tilt when he comes down. It will meteor him to death. You can beat him in under 15 seconds doing this. | The best strategy is to stand on the very bottom platform, wait for him to come down, and use a D-tilt when he comes down. Event Match 18: Link's Adventure is an Event Match available in the Event Mode from SSBM.
This is simply defeating Dark Link, who is the same as Link except for the fact that he's dark.
The title of this Event Match most likely is a reference to Zelda II: Adventure of Link, which featured a final battle against Dark Link, as well.
Strategy
Your opponent is a Level 6 CPU Link, although skilled Link players should be able to KO him twice without losing a life. Try to chain grab, then throw up, then Uair until the opponent is at about 150%. Use Dair and the impact sends him flying. Be careful as Shadow Link will return with his second stock. Just shffl or wave dash to avoid any serious attacks. Most importantly, Shadow Link's AI is designed to wait for you to make mistakes and make you pay dearly for them. Try to avoid missed grabs and missed attacks or you will get hit.
The best strategy is to stand on the very bottom platform, wait for him to come down, and use a D-tilt when he comes down. It will meteor him to death. You can beat him in under 15 seconds doing this.
