When several stages are similar (BF and all its clones, FD and Wily Castle and PictoChat 2, Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2), should we just choose to tag one as allowed and ban the other ? Or should we just tag all of them the same, not deciding which one should be the allowed one ? It's kind of weird to just pick one to make it the allowed one. | When several stages are similar (BF and all its clones, FD and Wily Castle and PictoChat 2, Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2), should we just choose to tag one as allowed and ban the other ? : I tried to do something about it by using the idea of "Alternative starter" for all the similar stages. If this solution is good enough for anyone, this point can be removed from the discussion page. | : I tried to do something about it by using the idea of "Alternative starter" for all the similar stages. ::Only the one that is allowed in tournament rulesets is allowed in tournament rulesets. Stages that are not allowed in tournament rulesets are banned. Nothing weird about that. The reason for tournament directors for banning "similar stages" is that you can't counterpick a stage that is more or less the same as a stage you already counterpicked.
