The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

The Epita Smash Arena was a tournament presented in April 2007 by Poilon and the SSBUP and held within the Epita school.

Events and rules

ESA featured 2 main Smash tournaments:

  • Saturday: Singles
  • Sunday: Teams

A crew match opposing France and The Netherlands was also organized.

Rules

Singles

  • No items.
  • 4 stocks.
  • Stages allowed : Final Destination, Dreamland 64, Pokemon Stadium, Yoshi Story and Fountain of Dreams. No other stage is allowed.
  • Pools were best of 3.
  • Results of pools determined the seeding of the bracket.
  • Double Elimination Bracket was best of 3 for the beginning of the bracket.
  • The rest of the bracket was best of 5.
  • Finals were best of 7.
  • Double blind pick was possible for the first match of a set.
  • The stage for the first match of a set was random between Final Destination, Dreamland 64 and Pokemon Stadium.
  • After the first match, loser picks the stage, then winner picks character, then loser picks character.
  • Stalling was completely forbidden.

Doubles

  • No items.
  • 4 stocks.
  • Stages allowed : Final Destination, Dreamland 64, Pokemon Stadium and Yoshi Story. No other stage is allowed.
