'''Wes''' is a ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' {{SSBM|Samus}} player from the Tristate region. In the "[[golden age]]" of ''Melee'', he was widely considered to be one of the best Samus players in the country. He was often referred to as the "Father of Samus," inventing many of tactics which are still used today.
'''Wes''', sometimes known as "DA Wes", is a New York [[Samus]] player, widely considered one of the best Samus players in the country. He has sometimes even been referred to as the "Father of Samus," inventing many of her tactics which are still used as of late. In Brawl/Brawl+, Wes mains Sonic and is one of the best Sonics in the state.


Wes and his crew, [[Deadly Alliance]], proved to be nearly untouchable in New York until the members of [[H2YL]] began hosting and attending tournaments. He was a top competitor during the 2003-2006 era, placing high in tournaments with a character that was considered to be mid-tier character at the time. In the modern ''Melee'' metagame, Wes has been less prolific in attending tournaments, but still has relatively strong showings in attended tournaments.
Wes has been a top [[smasher]] since Melee's tournament birth.


Wes was interviewed for the competitive ''Smash'' documentary, ''[[The Smash Brothers]]'', appearing in several episodes. He extensively covered the origins of crew rivalries in the first episode and gave his input on certain controversial issues that had come up within the community during his time with the game. Several gameplay clips of him were also shown, primarily in the two West Coast vs. East Coast crew battles that were featured.

==Play Style and Tournament Activity==
Over the years, with an ever-changing metagame, Wes has managed to keep his skill levels up to compete with the best smashers around the U.S. What makes his accomplishment even more impressive is the fact that he has done so with a character, [[Samus]], who is a mid tier. With higher tier characters becoming more and more popular in today's competitive scene, his loyalty has always been to the armored star of the '''Metroid''' series. 
Nowadays Antoine doesn't travel to Out-of-State (OoS) tournaments as frequently as in his past. Sometimes he randomly shows up to an OoS tourney.
