Wataru's breakout tournament offline was at {{Trn|Gen 1.0}} where they placed 25th while double eliminating {{Sm|Washii}} and taking sets off of  {{Sm|Hideyoshi}} and {{Sm|GENtheblow}}. They have continued to experience success as exemplified by their 4th place finish at the Chinese super regional   {{Trn|Pearl Two}} where they placed 4th while defeating {{Sm|Bomboozler}} and {{Sm|Miles|p=Japan}}. In addition to the aforementioned players they have also taken sets off of {{Sm|Suinoko}}, {{Sm|yuzu}}, and {{Sm|Meru}} at weeklies.
