Vex is one of the best {{SSBB|Bowser}} players in the United States, and is also considered one of the best King Dedede player in the world, managing to place quite well in regionals and nationals. He has defeated other top professionals such as {{Sm|ADHD}}, {{Sm|Xzax}}, {{Sm|Vinnie}}, {{Sm|Mr. R}}, {{Sm|Nakat}}, and {{Sm|DEHF}} in tournament. He also plays a rather competent {{SSBM|Fox}} and {{SSBM|Falco}} in ''Melee'', but doesn't manage to place as well as he does in ''Brawl''. Vex is known for his incredible [[powershielding]] abilities, being able to powershield large waves of fast projectiles consistently, as well as his preference of heavy characters outside of ''Melee''.

In ''[[Smash 4]]'', Vex was a notable {{SSB4|Donkey Kong}} player in the Eastern United States, who previously played {{SSB4|Bowser}} and {{SSB4|Ganondorf}}.
