He initially came to prominence during the ''[[Brawl]]'' era, where he established himself as the best {{SSBB|Lucario}} player in the world, ranking 27th on the [[2014 SSBBRank]] and 3rd on the Texas Brawl Power Rankings. He gained further recognition in ''[[Smash 4]]'' playing {{SSB4|Ryu}}, and was considered one of the best Ryu players of all time and the best Ryu player up until his initial retirement in early-2017. Since his retirement in 2017, Trela has seen sporadic appearances in tournaments, mostly in the Houston area.
