He is currently ranked 61st on the [[SSBMRank 2022]] and was formerly ranked 1st on the [[Australian Power Rankings]]. He was also formerly ranked 1st on the [[New Zealand Power Rankings]]. His breakout performance was at [[BAM7]], where he beat several of Australia's top players and upset {{Sm|Alex19}} in a close 3-2 set to place 7th overall. He started playing ''Smash'' in 2014.

He made his US debut at {{Trn|The Big House 6}}. In round 2 pools he lost to {{Sm|4%}} and {{Sm|Ryan_K}} to finish at 97th place.

At {{Trn|Don't Park on the Grass}}, he cruised through round 1 pools without dropping a game notably beating {{Sm|Rudolph}} in winners final of that pool. In round 2, he lost to {{Sm|Hungrybox}} 0-2, then beat {{Sm|Iceman}} 3-1 to make bracket. He then beat {{Sm|Mike Haze}} 3-1, before losing to {{Sm|The Moon}} 1-3 to finish at 17th place.

He also got second in doubles with {{Sm|MilkMan}}, defeating the team of n0ne and Moky in winners, but then losing the grands finals sets 0-3 and 2-3. A week later at {{Trn|Don't Park on the Grass 2018}}, Spud was on similar form, defeating {{Sm|Kalamazhu}} 3-0 to reach top 32 winners side, and then defeating {{Sm|SFAT}} 3-0 and {{Sm|Hax}} 3-1 to reach winners side top 8, where he lost 1-3 to {{Sm|S2J}} and 0-3 to {{Sm|Captain Faceroll}}.

Recently, he also defeated SFAT at {{Trn|Phantom 2019}}, a tournament where he placed 2nd.
