On March 21st, 2020, {{Sm|SuperStriker}} posted an image of a Discord conversation with king_chris where he asked SuperStriker to DQ from Grand Finals of {{Trn|Final Floof}} in exchange for $5, which SuperStriker refused. <ref>{{citeweb|url=https://twitter.com/_Superstriker_/status/1241551603620085767|title=SuperStriker's statement}}</ref> A day later, {{Sm|Dusty_Carpet}} posted a similar conversation with king_chris where he asked Dusty_Carpet to DQ in grands of {{Trn|Dabuz's Galaxy Sized Journey To EVO}} for $100. <ref>{{citeweb|url=https://twitter.com/Dusty_CarpetSSB/status/1241585183796723712|title=Dusty_Carpet's statement}}</ref> king_chris later responded in defense, stating that it was taken out of context and that SuperStriker was trashtalking him in a different server before the altercation, although he did admit to the bribery but stated that many others have done that before.
